Pleased for you though Tobii has been hit even harder than see over the last three years so not exactly stratospheric if you have been holding that long. It seems they have just got clearance to enter the race. Let's see.
I thought this, unfortunately NCAP STILL haven't started to mark the bad ones down/hand 5 stars to SEE fitted vehicles. Eventually it will happen but the progress is naffing glacial.
Well, the pics would appear to support TLS' post last week with the single pair of vertically aligned NIR LED's to the right of the camera being the SEE setup while the two horizontally aligned with camera between is SEYE.

Interesting comment SEEING and whilst I understand your excitement, I would say neither of us has anything 100% conclusive and I tend towards CB and TLS opinions. I think Tobii have started doing KPI's too now so let's see what comes out in those. Our next ones due early August.
Indeed, it's different because it's not the Magna mirror, nor does it have DMS/OMS IN the mirror, just in a pod UNDER the mirror. Valeo believed to be Tier 1.
Well I doubt very much you have read the rather expensive, full report on his blog but; It's not IN the mirror, IE behind the glass, which is Magna's patent and what they have an exclusive deal for.
TLS has cleared up the mirror confusion. Not Magna, for a start.:
"The new mirror in BMW is Seeing Machines (probably with Valeo, rather than Magna)
Colin shows the 4 horizontal LEDs
But there are also 2 vertical ones that also flash. 4 is OMS, the 2 are DMS.
OMS needs to illuminate the whole cabin so has more LEDs
They are used separately at different times, one for the bums on seats count and to make sure seatbelts are on. The DMS is more frequent and monitors attention/distraction"
It's a good question and one for which there is little to go on. The SEYE award is worth 11.5 mill GBP and the others appear to be smaller or at least less models, though they dont give an est value. It seems reasonable to assume they are smaller from the details so I doubt that is nearing 100% of the TTM.
I trust a big player like Mistsu know what they are doing.
Well I bow to your superior knowledge TLS and that is not sarcasm. Any idea why the LED's appear to be green where all previous sightings are purple? I cant keep track of the amount of different LED configs SEE use!
Looking at this one I see it's just a single, vertically aligned pair so, along with them being green when all others so far have showed up purpleish, I have no idea.
The fact that it is a vertically aligned pair, presumably matched on the other side of the pod but not showing, leads me to think it is very probably SEE.
