and lti. if I chucked the book at this one on the 2011 gap, in September - on which I took a punt and subsequently sold - is there some flipping thing going on in the "mine is bigger than yours" world or "look at me" woohoo world? What's it all about? Or is it because you prefer being holed up forever and a day and you've got SFA else to do?
why has sage been banned? Cos he calls a spade a spade and believes in free speech and airs his views/opinions? Seems it's rife in this whole arena based on what's happened to respected posters on numerous stocks. Seems it's the way of the world ... the wrong way! Shutting folk down - what is that all about?
lti,
"Some want to ignore C19 and carry on life as normal, and others want a total shutdown of the whole UK".
Some? Others? What about the majority who sit in the middle? The responsible folk who are more than capable of managing their own situation/s? Most importantly what about The Social Contract? You might be happy to be holed up for ever and a day in your fortunate state, what about the rest out there who have not achieved a "fortunate" state? The responsible folk in the middle have every right to bleat - as you put it.
Rosewall, your true colours shine through. If that isn't a load of supposition twaddle then I don't know what it is.
Paragraph 1 = don't try to teach me how to suck eggs
Paragraph 2 = there is barely a stat or fact re that matter/particular issue that you could educate me on - you know nothing about the causes that I support, yet I know and understand where your fundraising efforts are directed. Some want their names in lights, many prefer anonymity.
Paragraph 3 = not a flipping clue what that's about other than it reads like a crowcast special - put your own spin on the whatever ...
Rosewall,
"Those who contribute little in the great scheme of things are struggling but many of us are doing just fine thank you."
Reads like "I'm alright Jack". We've had that type of post on here previously, from one who then tried to change his tune.
The Mr Kitsons of this world(reported today), who have lost their beloved child, as a consequence of the drastic measures that have been implemented will certainly not be entertaining any "I'm alright Jack" notions. Just how many more sad stories are to be told? Resulting from this great unknown, while we follow the science ...
Enjoy your really productive 3-4 hours hill walk while I continue to carry out the duties of the teachers. Week 2 of nursery school closure as 1 child out of 90 tested positive/staffing issues ... and all the while the nurse mother can carry on with her duties in the community - including care homes. Half-term is upon us and the child has only experienced 6 days of schooling. No abstract required when "real" surrounds us.
Rosewall, is the said Declaration common knowledge out there? Does everybody subscribe to online signing? I suppose that given that you sit on the opposing side on most matters you'll subscribe to economic ruination.
"Can we honestly and rationally justify the current dystopian restrictions on the UK’s natural way of life, its health, and economy given these comparatives? But more importantly, can we allow the HIGNFY team at no 10, posing as HMG, to continue doing this in our name?"
No.
Other than economic ruination, nothing is/or has yet been proven that the actions taken to date have been right, just or reasonable. The 40,000 signatories of the medical practitioners and the medical and public health scientists to the Great Barrington Declaration, together with the over 500k general public signing, do not believe the actions taken can be justified.
john, I recall that post of yours last year. I can tell you that Caixa appear to be streets ahead of the game in their in-depth analysing of your EVERY bit of spending. There's more graphs and charts and calendars and goodness knows what available online, for personal accounts, than the average person would ever use. I'm sure Wids posted something about the future of banking and change - but it must have been removed?? - and I thought ... it's already happening at Caixa.
l-t, free? Nothing is free if you're non-resident. If you're simply seeking protection, then just open an account at a different bank. We use Caixa - as they took over Barclays Spain - got it's good and bad points.
UD, you are scraping the bottom of the barrel with that one. Why didn't Tiggy book other hotel/accommodation? Would the hotel have compensated her if Ryanair had been the cancelling party?
The 90 customers on the flight that we were on yesterday, had no problems flying with Ryanair. Furthermore and in contra to your nonsense, the ante has been upped on the customer service provision afforded by the Ryanair cabin crew - that, or we just happened to be served by a superior team. Add to that it was more than evident by the listed departures board that Ryanair is doing its level best to keep the show going on ...
Theosus, thing is sometimes we don't have to do research, we ask the right question/s and get it straight from the horses. What's it got to do with Lloy? some might say. A lot, when it's tax-payer money re furlough/government-backed business loans/motor finance ...
