You've almost crossed a line there Ban! (excusez ma petite blague) I actually holidayed in Framce for the fist time in September 1966 (school trip) and can remember our French teacher having lots of chats with the locals about the final. Didn't get much of what was said apart from phrases such as: "Aah, 'Urst, Les freres Sharlton, Steelez, formidable!" Funny what sticks in your mind!! : )

On a much more serious note, I've got a difficult choice to make re. England v France tomorrow. Which one to choose? The Malbec or a nice dry Chablis? Quel dilemme! : )

Afternoon all! The 16th of next May will be the 10th anniversary of my initial investment in REM/KDNC. I will of course be marking the occasion by lighting a candle, making a wish, saying a prayer, entering into a pact wth the devil, sacrificing a virgin (if I can find one in Manchester on a Tuesday night) and anything else I can think of. Unless of couse......

Bonsoir tout le monde! As I sit here watching my favourite team ("Allez les bleus!") prevail, I can't help thinking that the standard of insults on here has plumbed new depths. I've had my moments but Jesus, unadulterated foul mouthed abuse from Soyo countered by trashy American B movie quotes from DB! I suspect admin will have a field day tomorrow and quite right too. By the way, In case anyone is wondering why I support France, in addition to Cantona, Malbec and the Charente, their anthem is the best (although admittedly, tonight's version was crap).
Wonder what the French for cliche is? Maybe mrc could tell us! Keep smiling eh? : )
