The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Did Stifel resign because they shorted the shares and they didn't expect the SP to increase? Makes sense for them to quickly suspend the share trade with their resignation...
Yea well it sucks for those who were hoping to exit at a better price.
Earlier I raised the question on why Stifel did not resign if it disagreed with the Company’s actions. It was said then that Stifel was doing the honourable thing by staying to protect the shareholders, ensuring the shares are not suspended until delisting to allow shareholders an exit. Looks like the wolf has reared its head.
The more I read the news a second time around the more suspicious it sounds. How did the Times know about the resignations before it was announced? Can the broker and PR guys just quit like that, no contract in place? Hmm...
Is this really going anywhere?
Stifel could always resign before the announcement and with the notice period Teh would be forced to get a new Nomad. Seems to me that Teh would have just fired the Nomad if they wanted to delist no matter what. Something doesn't fit.
Doubleheadedcoin, your points make sense...
cos it's a bad thing for them obviously, fees and all.
Why didn't Stifel resign before the announcement then? They probably had ample time to resign in protest instead of agreeing to this and then not managing the situation. If it is immediate suspension if Stifel resigns, why didn't the Company just fire the Nomad if their focus was just to delist?
The nomad should resign! If he wasn't happy with the exercise he should have objected it long ago and protested by resigning. The more I think about it, the more it all seems planned. Broker allows for SP to plunge. Broker mops up the shares. If company doesn't delist, SP improves and broker makes a ton. If company delists, broker just stays with the company because they see potential with it and will profit later. Can't be the Founder benefiting because he's just killing his own reputation. Who stands to gain from all this?
Any thoughts on this one?

Strong set of results announced today!
Hi guys, should I invest in this? Would like to know your feedback on this.
Yes! Interim dividend has been announced and declared, payable in March. Easter comes early this year!
From the latest announcement, looks like the results will be out on February 5th. I sorta recall FXI confirming that results would be in line with expectations so shouldn’t be any unpleasant surprises.
