Hi Peekayokay. Youre probably referring to the share deal. Theres been a number of the same type of transaction that appear fair enough bona fide to me, in some companies that have done well since (not referring to QPP). To be actually honest, maybe naively I read it positively when the RNS came out viewing it as Andrew Newland desiring not to sell any stock, not of course recognising that in theory the vehicle was open to abuse as highlighted during the Rob Terry debacle whose character can very well be questioned.
I also think some of us in directorships with the requirement for short term funds may well have entered the same transaction without looking at loop holes etc. I wouldn't attribute that to stupidity. But yes it sure was unfortunate to coincide with the QPP mess, and put AGL's share price (and thus potential for the then pending equity fundraising) at risk
