RE: How long to any settlement??19 May 2025 11:44
The time to respond to a claim, including the size of the claim, at the PCA London can vary. Generally, the respondent has 28 days to respond to the court's notice. Additionally, in pre-action, the respondent may have up to three months to investigate and respond to the claim before proceedings are issued, according to the Pre-Action Protocol for Personal Injury Claims. If the respondent fails to respond within the 28-day timeframe, the claim may be stayed, but this can be lifted under certain circumstances.
