RE: How is Bake doing?11 Oct 2025 17:38
One way to find out would be for a small fee is to access Ypsilon accounts from ACRA. This will give further info on date of incorporation. The revenue from this $36M contract, will be recognized by Ypsilon over the period it receives the services from Semnet. It will not appear as a single $36 million expense in one year's accounts. It will be amortized over the life of the contract, making it difficult to spot as a single, specific item.
Even if the accounts were public, there is a timing issue.
Contract Date: The GSTechnologies announcement was made on April 22, 2024. The contract was likely signed very recently before that date.
Accounting Periods: Ypsilon's most recently filed financial statements would be for a previous accounting period (e.g., the financial year ending in 2023). A contract signed in Q2 2024 would not appear in any accounts filed before that date. So we would hope that they have F/E of July 2025 to glean anything useful, if at all.
I do not doubt the existence of the contract as our BOD are liable for the statements that they made regarding this. The announcement calls it a "revenue contract," which means the $36 million is the total value of the contract over its lifetime, not a one-time payment. The revenue will be recognized over the period the services are provided.
The information is presented by the company itself. Independent, third-party verification of the contract's specific terms and conditions between Semnet and Ypsilon is not typically public. We the investors rely on the due diligence and legal responsibility of the board in making such announcements.
There was a formal declaration to the market so it exists.
