RE: Galleri blood test on BBC news and in Daily mail today. Angle5 Jun 2023 09:17
Need to speak to this Company...........
"The trained practitioner who draws your blood will pack and ship your sample back to the GRAIL laboratory for processing.". So their lab does the analysing of the blood.
What everyone needs is the ability to do the analysing on site at the Hospital in a machine rather than waiting weeks for the results. Plus the results need to be far more accurate. The Parsortix machine Angle have, which already has FDA approval at least for use obtaining live cancerous cells from a blood sample may be able to be combined with the Galleri process?? It may be just a matter of investment?
The Galleri process looks for tiny fragments of tumour DNA circulating in you blood stream. Dead fragments.
At present the Parsortix system can capture an entire LIVE concerous blood cell. All the DNA, none missing.
As Angle have said a LIVE cancerous cell means all tests can be carried out. DNA, RNA and proteins. Plus anything else that the cell might need testing for in the future as technology progresses. Angle have said that with more investment the machine could get FDA approval for use with cancers other than Breast. The current Galleri process correctly identifies 66.3% of people with cancer. Not that good.
The thought occurs to me that much more accuracy may not be possible from dead DNA fragments. The information may simply not be there to obtain. I'm no expert but with proper investment I think that Angle's Parsortix system could single out circulating cancer cells, whatever type they are? Then they could be analysed giving far more accurate results. Clearly this would take time and mean a substancial investment from a large Pharma Company.
To me this makes Angle Plc a takeover target, pretty obviously IMHO.
A bid around the 80p a share placing level could kick things off............
Current sp level, is it 19p?
All IMHO.
