Breaking up clusters of CTC (circulating tumour cells) almost certainly improves a cancer patients outlook is significant for Angle. Page Therapeutics chose Angle's Parsortix machine for the study and it is highly likely they and their competitors will use in future cancer drug tests. I suspect Angle will be standing on their own 2 feet within 12 months without the need for more cash.

Its certain Angle will be contacted by other Pharma Co's who will be urgently looking to set up further cancer drug trials that involve these "cluster buster" drugs. At minimum is looks highly likely that using drugs that can disassemble these circulating tumour cell (CTC) clusters will slow down cancers spread. The fact that Digoxin is already cleared for use makes things so much easier, and I suspect faster. I'm sure there will be no problem finding volunteers to take part in any trial like this. Presumably, large Pharma Co's will be racing to do further trials, especially if they have a drug that they think is better than Digoxin at disassembling these clusters.

Cluster together first? Maybe the immune system always kills the lone CTC's (circulating tumour cells) and it's only the clusters that enable the spread?? Food for thought.

Think about it. Digoxin has been used for decades to treat Heart conditions. Now this drug needs to be tested on people who have cancer that is spreading to see if it it really does slow cancer spread. Angle should be in demand to provide the means to catch the CTC's / CTC clusters to see the effect of the Digoxin during URGENTLY needed new trials of this drug and other similar ones.

Trials involving cancer patients whose blood has been shown (using Angle's Parsortix machine) to contain clusters of circulating tumour cells. This will involve CTC analysis from a std blood sample before, during and after treatment to break up the CTC clusters. Contracts simply must be coming soon. Lots of them too!

Being able to break up the CTC clusters in your blood using already approved and available drugs could conceivably slow a cancers spread down, or maybe even stop it spreading. Food for thought. The Cancer drug trial market is huge. Non RNS today highlights another use for it. To select cancer patients that already have CTC clusters in their blood stream for a treatment that breaks the clusters up making cancer spread far less likely. In the interview Mr Newland said it was noticed in the 1980's that people receiving treatment for atrial fibrillation who had cancer lived longer but no-one understood why. It seems the drug(s) they were given for the fibrillation may have broken up the CTC clusters enabling them to live far longer. This urgently needs to be investigated by the Pharma industry, and they will need to do Cancer drug trials. The Parsortix machine can be used to select the patients with CTC clusters in their blood. Then MONITOR which drugs (many already approved) are best at breaking up the CTC clusters that are 100x more dangerous than lone CTC's, most of which are killed by the immune system. Demand for the Parsortix machine is about to take off IMHO.

Be prevented from forming these CTC clusters (100 times more likely to cause cancer spread) using already approved drugs this could be massive for Angle. More and more uses for catching live and intact CTC's from a standard blood sample are being found. Come on Illumina, where in the 60p a share bid for Angle? All IMHO.
