Yes, but leaving aside morality and ethics, what is the hard evidence to prove they acted ILLEGALLY?... If there is hard evidence there was illegality, fine. And I am not asking to reveal it in a public forum as it might jeopardize investors' case... Let's keep calm and focus on the legal aspect and its PROVEN EVIDENCE THAT LAWS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED OR BROKEN, which is what it counts in a court of law.... Was the information given to you free of any caveats?... Did the COPL board directly say to you to buy, sell, etc shares?... While you may have a millions or reasons to blame the company you got to expect millions of reasons from them to claim the opposite
Trading suspension it not a good sign BUT it does not mean the company is in administration. So it is the board duty to continue to run it in the best interest of all stakeholders and this includes producing. If and when it goes into administration all powers will be invested into an administrator and will then take all decision
Generally you can always require if you so wish to have your divi as a scrip - of the SAME value as cash... In HMSO's the scrip alternative was largely very welcome by PIs - because it was MORE advantageous than cash... Is there a rule/legal restriction on how many times a company can make use of scrip of a different value than cash divi?... If there are none, and it is so advantageous for both company and investors, why the company is not doing it any more?...
