Looks like another excellent fit to S4, however, it would be more comforting if there were accompanying numbers to support the mantra of not compromising the balance sheet.

Struggling to find any negatives. Being prudent where they need to be, an eye on further growth opportunities in Germany, business largely as usual and one based around how things will be transacted in the future. I noted how he couldn’t resist a swipe at the old way of advertising / WPP. When you have the personal wealth MS enjoys, being bigger/ better than your old shop and getting one over on them becomes a very strong driver and I am happy to back this particular strand of DNA that appears to be prevalent...

You make good points Oxo42 as this company has taken on different guises over the years.
It would be easy to have a pop at Mr Watts, such as the loan to the company at generous interest rates over and above what he would get on deposit, however, he has been prudent and overseen where his money has been invested which has Been reflected in the last two years imo.
We are reliant on him but he has enough skin in the game for me to believe we are invested at the bottom end and there is excellent scope to the upside notwithstanding the current economic situation which no one can rightly predict how it will pan out at this moment in time. I don’t buy the takeover approach as this puts all his eggs in one basket and over exposes himself. I do though believe he may build the company up and sell at an attractive price, retiring at his leisure and hopefully ours too!
Very broadly speaking, I believe it is in the interests of the Government to invest in building projects going forward as this has the most widespread benefits to the economy so PIP should also be in a position to benefit in the future and I am happy to remain invested at the levels I have.

For a small engineering company, there seems to be a bit of trading activity here and positive direction in the SP too which is encouraging given the current climate.

Today’s TU was about as good as could be expected.
My main concern is over Education going through and it looks like it might go down to the wire.
In the meantime, you only need to look at NBrown to appreciate how well our SP has held up.
I completely understand your thinking 1GW as it is difficult to envisage any meaningful uplift from where we are today although the market seems to have warmed to the last two RNS and clearly knew what was coming with the associated rise beforehand.
I will ride this one out as I still believe in where it’s heading and leave it to you, 1GW, to carry on making the clever ‘in or out’ decisions!

My first post here as I profess to know very little about digital marketing but understand it is very much ‘the future’ so when MS sets up something such as S4, significantly backs it with his own money, surrounds himself with very talented and invested people, it becomes a compelling investment particularly when the SP pulls back the way it has done of late.
I am only kicking myself not to have bought in earlier but even at these levels and having researched it further, I am very pleased to be a shareholder in such an exciting company. If for no other reason I am very happy to follow the money....
I have kept a bit back just in case there is another market wide pull back and will take advantage accordingly. Good luck all, it should be fun,

Whilst there is no denying the potential effect Coronovirus may have on us all, the market is behaving somewhat irrationally and there are some very attractive valuations now on excellent and well run companies. In these times it’s difficult to know when to buy but 1GW’s timing here has been impeccable in the past.
I hope he is right this time as we are now In the territory that SPD bid previously which has to be a concern.
With a virus, at least we know it will pass and then a degree of order will be resumed, it’s just going to be a painful period ahead in the near term.

Education is an interesting situation.
My only concern here is if the purchaser decides to pull out or try and use Coronavirus to renegotiate the price. Either way, we need to accept every outcome as a possibility.
I don’t believe there has been a ‘pricing in’ of the market expecting bad news Skindle, more we have been dragged down in value as has every other company in the past week, so in the meantime it’s tin hats on and hope this pesky virus melts away as swiftly as possible and we limit the damage as otherwise we could see some major coordinated fiscal policy to steer away from worldwide recession albeit the room for manoeuvre is pretty limited.
The one saving grace here is that it did not happen in the lead up to Christmas....

It will be interesting to see at which point the market turns as my sense is that, notwithstanding the supply and demand implications of Coronavirus, we must be at or very close to the 'Oversold' territory.

The future looks bright notwithstanding bottoming out the customer redress programme. Will Smith did reference the strength of the numbers in the crucial Black Friday/ Christmas period.
As for the SP, I think the market feels the same way and is keeping us on a relatively firm footing which should act as a strong base from which we can move upwards as and when the results and sale of Education come to fruition.
As for the supply chain and Corona Virus, I think this will be reported on more generally and then specifically should it become a material issue. Its clearly not helpful but to what extent is affecting everyone, only time will tell.

Good to see the positive direction we are heading in. Hopefully some further good news on the way and/or the market finally waking up to a realistic valuation.

Good afternoon all. I just wanted to share with you that I have spoken with Will Smith at Tulchan, Studio's appointed Investor Relations Company and he confirmed that we will not be getting a TU until our FY results in June unless there is reason to do so, which reading between the lines, I would suggest means an update on the sale of Education.
The Board took the view they had updated the market on the 16th Dec when the HY results were made as it encompassed the trading period over Black Friday.
He was helpful within the constraints of what he could say.

Today's RNS explains why we have had the delay.....our Chairman has been out walking the dog at Pets at Home and couldn't be located to sign off on the results!!

There has to be a reason for the delay and we only discover what it is when the RNS is released.
By way of reassurance, I keep coming back to the SP standing relatively firm and normally the market knows of news, good or bad, before we do and reflects it in the pricing.
Given the rollercoaster ride we have endured over the years, the one thing we know with Studio is that there is no telling what will happen next.

I am surprised that we haven't had an RNS yet.
The delay, when as Columbo points out, every other Tom Dick and Harry of a retailer has provided an update, only plays into the narrative that there is something else afoot going on behind the scenes.
The only saving grace is that the SP appears to be stable and not heading south.

Not quite sure what to make of it other than it's suggests a polite but firm push back on SPD and in going public with the RNS it removes any lingering smell of accountancy irregularities that might have been in the air.

I could only draw the conclusion that they have effected this change owing to the company's 'need' for them to do so as the next transformational phases kick in. This requires having all the right people being in the right places to maximise value.
Taking it at face value, it can only be positive news and finally, with everything firmly crossed, be the long awaited start of monetising our unique product.
