Hi Goldbug
Good post, Just to give you a background, I had my own business dealing with Corporate comms with the FTSE 100 Companies.
Mainly in Corporate messaging and Brand. The reason I say this is because working with the likes of RIO and Anglo I got very involved with
the Corporate Directors who often spoke to meoff the record with regards Targets and values. With RMR, I am a bit stumped.
Firstly because in the scheme of things it's quite small, secondly, value is really dependant on how much someone wants to pay for something
outside the normal way you scientifically pay for something. With large deals it's a balance between your value of something and your own SP.
By that I mean watering yourself down far too much etc etc. But with a tiny deal like this it's all about how badly Alphamin want this compared to
how much RMR are prepared to wait. A couple of things to me are quite important, Firstly, Klaus made an important comment on Alphamin, their SP
Their experience with exploration and a dwindling SP that may happen if they don't show more resource value. Secondly, I'm sure that Paul and Klaus will get another player on board to have some leverage, The Chinese could buy the whole lot if they wanted to as they need the resource. Thirdly, Klaus and Paul have already mentioned that they want to use RMR to move on to bigger and better things. Like others I have no idea whatsoever about pricing something like this even if they show over 100,000 tons and they importantly increase the value buy purchasing the other29% of the site. To be honest from me inheriting the shares and buying over 40million more my main reason was because of the exit stratergy that Paul Barratt spoke about, this has now changed.
Having the Company park Mt Agoma for another day which in this scenario is quite sensible but elongates the end game. I still think a deal quicker than you have expressed is possible because it won't be fortunes and it will give Aplhamin an uplift in price probably paying for the assett immediately, so technically
it probably won't cost the Company much. Just my thoughts and I am happy to be picked apart. That is what these boards are for
