We all want to top slice, de-risk and make money, but this board over the past year has been littered with constant rubbish that has turned the general investor to ignore what was once a very knowledgeable board. Save your bravado for the winter drilling campaign. Just like the last presentation, unless their is no earth shattering RNS before 4pm Friday, the whole point of Wall coming here on our money is to raise capital. But at what cost? A billion shares at 0.8p? We have billions of barrels in the ground; and it needs plenty of capital to get it out. Dave Wall has stretched what little money we have over several projects. All promising, but so what. He took a gamble with our money and it has not paid off. The SP looks like it will dip under 1p pretty soon, leaving the prospect of raising more money seriously diluting our investment. I do hope he is the real deal, and pulls a farm out in the near term, otherwise it does not look good.

Brombarb, compare this to football. Wall is a good Championship player, but will never cut it in the Premier division. His salary indicates he is something special, but unfortunately is incapable of delivering. He has done the best he can, but now is the time to bring in someone who can take us to the next level. Like a few others, I have the utmost faith in the ongoing projects, but am finding it hard to believe in the present CEO. With his size salary, surely a much more experienced person can take the helm. At this level, contacts are all important, and I sincerely believe the present incumbent is severely lacking.

Reaper, I have not had the pleasure of a one to one with Mr Wall, so I rule with the head, rather than heart.

Easy. No matter the job, their is always someone better qualified. Plenty of experienced senior managers in oil majors with the kind of contacts this company can only dream about. Wall has got so far, now maybe is the time to hand over to somebody who can bring shareholder value, something we all crave.

Have emailed Mr Wall regarding the need to stand down for a more qualified person. Expect the answer "If it significantly benefits the company, then the answer is simple."

Q. In the best interests of 88 Energy, would you consider standing down for somebody with more experience and significantly better contacts?

With you on that, Phrontist. If the company can find the right man, someone with experience and more importantly, the right contacts, then maybe D. Wall should step aside. Wall has done his bit, now time to move this to the next level.

Worst thing is the silence from Mr. Wall. This ship needs to be steered. At present it is teetering into uncertainty, which is no good for me. Am well in the red. Just hope we get news we all want, and get it soon.

I have such confidence in this, that I sold a third of a holding in another little oiler, which has since climbed 35%, to buy back into here. The rise of the price of oil has come at a perfect time, and the benefits could be substantially pretty damn good.
