Anyone planning on taking this up?
Well ignore the actual good news eddiesmate why don't you! And that is the signing of its fourth major biomass supply contract in four months, which completes the group's target of supplying 2 million tonnes p/a by 2017/18. The new contract is a 15-year index-linked contract with Tilbury Green Power Limited. The market seems to like it.
In fact, looking at Huntsworth, my only other badly performing share, comments on there suggest it may be a pre- end of tax year people crystallising CGT losses. So we can maybe expect a perk back up next month.
Who knows, does seem odd that this has dipped so much in the past couple of days, but no reason for it that I can see. It's more volatile than most.
Great results. Revenue up 52%. Gross profit up 55%. Underlying earnings per share up 77%. Divi for the year up 22%.
Looks good: "The excellent progress reported in our interim statement has continued and I am delighted that we expect our performance for the year to be comfortably in line with market expectations". S/p should be up really.
Good results, offset only by yen weakness against sterling. This will wash out in time, but not for a while I guess.
Three of these late last year of a reasonable size, so Tinkler sell (not the first of that sort of size by him, looking back, and still a fairly small % of his overall holding) not a concern. Had they all been selling and in large amounts it would be (or indeed IIs selling - none of that either).
Because someone else is happy to buy them? Is this the first time he's sold? He may be buying a new house or something and need the money.
They are building new Biomass plant. Stobart mentioned as supplier of fuel on long term contract. http://www.investegate.co.uk/interserve-plc--irv-/rns/interserve-jv-wins-gbp150m-power-plant-contract/201503120700142191H/
Good set of results hence rise today. Dividend increased by 10.2% and a 20p special dividend also announced.
And again, slowly but surely!
Looked fine. Dividends up 10%. Reason for the drop? People taking profits after recent highs, selling on news I guess.
Talking nonsense. Fuel prices will of course help Stobart's fuel bills (they do use lorries for Biomass delivery too). Energy prices are largely irrelevant in the short term to biomass however as these are long term contracts. Shale gas - don't make me laugh, that's years away if it ever comes.
Another major biomass supply contract secured. Well on their way to their target on this. Long term contract so current energy price of little relevance.
Tipped in IC - explains rise.
A bit better than just 'good' in my view!
Results look fine. 6.2p dividend for the year and likely to rise in future years - a very cash generative business.
