Good set of results today, including increase in dividend. Nice 4% s/p rise.
Any idea why nice rise today?
I presume just a technical bounce - welcome nonetheless!

Are you in here Jolly.? I was a long term holder but set a stop which was triggered in the last week. Lost overall, but not massively so after the divis I've received. I think this is just a very illiquid share. I can see nothing wrong with the business profile, but Burford Capital looks like a bigger outfit, generally and staffing-wise in particular and hence probably less prone to wild swings if one case is lost, as here. One lost case would presumably be a much lesser % of Burford's overall p/folio.
Again look good. Interim dividend up 10.6% to 7.3p per share (H1 2014: 6.6p per share).
yesterday, hence drop in s/p.
Basically the same as my and legobrickgirl's posts before! Main market move still on, but taking longer than they had initially hoped because of work involved.
And here by Mark Slater (it's in his income fund). http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/shares-and-stock-tips/11739254/Mark-Slaters-share-tips-three-income-stocks-that-pay-5pc.html
Has been topping up in June: http://www.fool.co.uk/investing/2015/07/16/neil-woodford-buys-newriver-retail-limited-and-more-centrica-plc-imperial-tobacco-group-plc-next-plc-homeserve-plc/
Mentioned in his June fund round-up today, so should produce another lift (as it appears to have already).
Overbought - just a natural drop to re-group after a significant period of rises. I reckon it could have a bit further down to go.
I think selling their coal assets (currently in the press) will be good for RIO - it will position them as the only generalised miner that the (growing) fossil fuel divestment crowd can buy(unlike eg BLT which has coal and oil too). And coal seem pretty low margin.

Just reflecting the drop in NAV from a lost case announced yesterday (and rather overdone at that - 15.6p NAV drop was announced and remember it also fell yesterday). No big deal - volatility in NAV and dividends is to be expected with this one. Works better as a long term divi investment share imo.
