Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I belueve that I am correct in the following:
The offer must have been of the type "I would pay a billion UKP for a mine like this one" in which case it was an off-hand statement so not reportable. Because if the Chinese said "we are prepared to pay you a billion UKP for Andrada" then this is reportable, and nothing has been reported to the market.
I chose the figure of a billion quid quite deliberately.
Great results and with adjusted eps at just shy of 12, the company trades on a pe of only 5.
Any Cesium out there ATM?

@Kdonkey was this the culprit? But look on the bright side!

GingerBear, I remember us discussing this topic about a year (??) ago because there was a line in an rns that seemed to suggest that tailings could not be used. We never got to a conclusion of the discussion. Was it a technical, economic or legal reason, no-one seemed to know. S9rry not to have a proper answer to a very valid question.
What a stunning update this morning:

Deffo : and don't overlook the Tantalum. That is currently in for free.
And, since historically, ATM is a tin miner, there must exist thousands (millions?) of tons of waste from which the tantalum and perhaps lithium (given that it is soluble) have never been extracted. Sometime ago we did debate whether the spoil could be re-treated and no one had a firm idea of negatives.
I wonder what else may be found as they explore more and more of this large mining licence.
Exciting times and BMN must be cursing the discovery of Lithium as they try to flog off the idea of Vanadium storage batteries!!
I am trying to get my head around the "double digit" unsolicited interest that companies have shown for our Lithium deposits, and that Barclays are currently assessing. I have not seen any detailed debate of the possibilites on this forum (apologies if missed).
Such interest has the potential to be transformational but in what form(s) do people believe investment will be targeted? Will companies simply seek to buy a chunk of ATM? Will they offer to buy all Li produced? Will they finance a rapid scaleup of the pilot processing plant? Or what else?
Page 19 of the May 2023 presentation shows a Li processing chart with named companies. Are these interested parties or simply fellow players in ATM space?
Shame the article did not mention the negative side effects of viagara et al. I presume that the need for a little assistance increases with age which would then correlate with the old ticker getting a little worn.
We really need to push the positive safety aspects of the gel. Joe-Public should not be expected to work it out on his own.
Now that the gel is available OTC in the US, would it not make sense for FUM to look at making its share also available OTC in the US? This is a path just being explored by ATM (Andrada Mining, formerly Africa Tin Mining) that found itself sitting on masses of Lithium and is looking to realise value away from AIM.
We all know the "vagaries" of AIM - most on this board seem to have been surprised by yesterday's lack of appreciation of the great news. Could the board not think of other ways of realising value?
If I'm not mistaken, the first trade this morning shows a nice example of "backwardation" where the bid price is above the ask. Such a situation usually shows a stock shortage .... surprise surprise.
A nice rise this morning 😂
On reflection, that would depend on the volume, and I cannot find that figure anywhere. How often do we see trades of 4 or 5 shares that are merely testing the waters. Since it is an OTC, quite possibly someone put a few at 50c to see what would happen and got a bite.
Anyway, no euphoria in London today so I guess we will need to await this pm.
