BP, definitely no differences of political opinion here, lol. If the Tories get a workable majority you'd expect to see a Sterling bounce, though quite a lot of that may now be priced in. Somewhat negative for us in the short term. I'd expect Sterling to weaken again when it becomes (even more) obvious that the choice will be between a terrible EU future relationship deal as the EU have us over a barrel (because BJ refuses to countenance a transition period extension, at the moment anyway), and no future relationship.
If Labour propped up by Lib Dems and SNP, short term sharp Sterling decline because initially chaotic, then recovery if - big if - that leads to a second EU referendum with the possibility of a remain win.
If any of that leads at some point to Scottish independence, I think you'll find that a thriving Scottish gold mining industry would be *exactly* the kind of thing an independent Scottish government of any flavour would want to encourage, so I don't think you need worry about requisitioning.
Anyway, at 10pm tomorrow we'll have an idea of how it's going, but with so many seats on a knife edge and weird variables like the Brexit party only standing in half the seats, it may not be as accurate as it was in 2015 and 2017. I'll be settling in for the long haul anyway!
Anyway, peace, love and big nuggets to the lot of you, whatever your politics.
