Twatcher - Screen4 have clinics to perform the tests by medical professionals, having used this service myself recently…so professional use is all that would be required if it is indeed the Visitect antigen test :)

Doesn’t mean they can’t start selling our Visitect antigen tests also ;)

I think this is a false alarm…once filter for self-test was applied Mologic never showed up…unless they the haven’t done the full update on the site(Just dreaming haha)

Flashy - The PCR’s will still be used but LFT’s will take most of the share going forward even if new variants pop up…from the articles that I’ve read using PCR’s aren’t much different to using high quality LFT’s as a minimal amount of positive PCR’s are being sequenced to check which variant it was…

I’m assuming this was the reason for the shift to LFT’s for double jabbed international travellers coming back into the UK…Which seems to be the testing method that’ll be in the limelight for sometime :)

Yeah it is but it’s quicker to get ‘professional use’ approval than going straight for ‘home test’ which shortens the timeframe for initial approval…

As we know already Mologic is part of the RADx initiative and have already been given $11M+ to help with development of their antigen(Why is that?)…Being part of this also gives them the ability to fast track within reason any test they submit for review by the FDA…and also have the help of bill gates…

We’ve seen articles referring to the mologic antigen test as a test that can be used ‘at home’ and is ‘best in it’s class’…so there’s no doubt they’ll be targeting that straight after professional use approval :)

There’s not many with ‘home test’ approval so that would be BIG for us…

Looks like the government is planning another lockdown in October if cases and hospitalisations rise…I think that’s inevitable seeing as schools just opened..

Why not get everyone to use LFT’s more frequently and keep everything open? Oh no that’s too easy…
