WOGCC Gas Flaring Hearing

London, United Kingdom; Calgary, Canada: October 11, 2022 - Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited and its affiliates ("COPL" or the "Company") (XOP: CSE) & (COPL: LSE), an international oil and gas exploration, production and development company, with production and development operations focused in Converse and Natrona Counties, Wyoming, USA, provides an update on its affiliate, Southwestern Production Corporation's ("Southwestern") application to temporarily flare gas.



The Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission ("WOGCC") Hearing on the Application (the "Hearing"), relating to Southwestern's application to temporarily flare additional gas volumes at its Barron Flats Shannon Unit ("BFSU"), is scheduled to take place today at 4pm BST.

We was down 10% at one point after the flaring news in September…they better keep the same energy for tomorrow once(Highly likely) it’s approved

Seeing as XOP was closed yesterday it could be quite the show later with the hearing happening whilst they’re still trading

Technically it’s currently a blue day if we’re not taking into account the UT at 17p from yesterday :)

Once the flaring application is approved today(I don’t see why it wouldn’t be) the party will start when the RNS drops tomorrow :D

The development is expected to drill 15 additional wells and commence production in 2023 (5 wells) and 2024 (10 wells). The investment volume for Salt Creek totals USD 75 million.”

This report today shows they’re actively looking for acquisitions…seems they’re weighing up buying $4.9bn Denbury inc.

Intothedeep - I would expect the same production in the coming months but a little bit steeper on trajectory if comparing with last years Jun-Aug production figures

I see this thread got deleted…there was some great posts in there but we know the trolls are working overtime to suppress this ;)

Main thing is Art has got the protest/objection against the flaring application withdrawn which leaves us with the breathing space to get it officially signed off tomorrow with a RNS to confirm the following day :D

“This flaring will unlock about 300-600 bbl/d of production currently so that will take us to around 2000 bbl/d to 2600 or 1900 to 2500 and are those in line with the curve we see from Ryder Scott”
