Exert below from the FT today. While I am no fan of Goldman Sachs it would appear that we are in a commodities super cycle and oil prices may well rise substantially even from here. CNE seems to be under priced but what do I know?

"On Thursday, Morgan Stanley raised its Brent price forecast for the third quarter by $20 a barrel to $120 a barrel. Goldman Sachs has raised its forecast to $135 a barrel for the year, but said Brent could reach as high as $175."

Just surprised HUR is not above 12p a share already.

According to Bloomberg Doug now predicting Brent at $150 this summer due to demand from airlines and vacations etc. DYOR but HUR making big profits at $80 so anything over $100 a barrel is epic imo.

Parts of China in lockdown...bad policy imo.
China might well go for herd immunity and accept a few million more dead over 2022.
Europe is not at war....yet.
Just Russia and Ukraine.

Yet gas still flows to the EU through Ukraine and Germany paying Russia as per usual?

Well I think it is either upwards or bust from here....any further bad news/delays and this will drop 50% in a blink.

Even XOM is not debt free! I am also invested in HBR which carries too much debt and CNE which is effectively debt free but rudderless. I suppose what I hope to see is not just a "debt free" update but more importantly Maris gone, a new exploration and production strategy and funding to deliver more oil and gas.

True, but I don't like it because I am old school. I want to see firm news, preferably scientific confirming that this magic little test works and can save millions of lives. The Chinese market huge wider Asian markets where smoking still common is mega.

Meh! Inclined to do nothing and if the sp hits 270p in April sell my entire holding and re invest it in HBR and HUR.

I am tired of the CNE management and no longer trust it. Neither am I fan of investing in Egypt so 270p for me would be a good exit point.

Suddenly WoS the place to be.....price of oil and reserves suggest the whole area a strong buy. Shell re thinking their decisions? If Shell with all their experience and expertise commit to the area then HUR due a sig re rate imo.

Added 6,000 shares this morning on the basis of the grades and the fact that imo this company is way under valued by the markets.

For some reason(s) the market has not pushed the sp back up despite the relatively good news and production forecasts.

.....it sets CNE for a cheap bid in 2022?
Which suggests the management & Board not acting in our best interests.

Vic....good point. I would be delighted to see some chunky Director buys this week or at least in this quarter.

Skint that is a fair reply if you are here for the short term but look at the sp charts.
Exploring is not producing an upwards trend in sp we are trading well below highs despite all of this "good news". The trouble with the current strategy is that the sp will always be volatile and some will make money from just trading it.
But in the end production = sales = profits and bids and or dividends. It becomes an investment not a roller coaster punt. The most sensible way to get us into production is via a JV with a larger player.

Great, more dilution via new shares.....who would want them?
Now that is the question.....thoughts?

POS in the last chance saloon imo with Cameron our only trump card. This company horribly vulnerable to a low ball buy out just to grab the technology and patents.

Always the Bridesmaid never the Bride.....exploration is all well and good and exciting but show me the metal. Where are the production figures? When will this company exceed 100,000 ounces a year or 200,000 ounces? How about focusing on one good area and producing some gold?

"Our Mission is Discovery" starting to wear a little thin. The money is in production not endlessly wandering around South America looking for that next big resource. Time for this company to change its strategy, get finance, partners and start producing.
