Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Q
For the first time, although you won’t admit it, your post explains why your diverse book argument is meaningless.
Now you are saying rather than the Chinese or Barrick we need to keep extra shares in safe hands.
I’m glad at last you are beginning to understand things, better late these never my old bean.
We are already over 20p?
NM won, although it was only just.
I voted yes as we would have been taken out too cheaply currently.
Up to him now to play the right hand and get us the best price as this will come round again if he doesn't.
It's by no means an easy thing to do, some might say impossible with regard to keeping a majority share holding onside, getting adequate funding for production and funding the exlploration for many years to come.
In my view it can't practically be done, nothing against him, jsut a matter of time before we are taken out, thats what majors do for the reasons that have been posted here many times.
He lives to fight another day in our corner, but his time is now limited, no doubt about that.
Just hope he gets himself and us the best deal he can in the time remaining.
But is he adding value ?
Our SP was higher several years ago.
It’s been a lot of jam tomorrow I’m afraid
I gave him my vote this time but if things don’t Improve as has been said by others in here he won’t get through next time.
Oh dear basic mistake their assuming the market needs volume to dictate which way they are taking the price.
I’m just stating another fact, they marked us up on the potential of NM losing and it dropped when he won his votes.
Don’t need volume for them to take it up or down.
Far more buys today but they decide to mark us down.
His next move will be to give more shares out to the Chinese, Rio or Barrick.
I just hope it’s not at a discount as that’s not necessary.
Further pushing BHP to put up or shut up.
All leading to a bid at a higher price than we would have got if NM was voted or today.
We are all on the same side here, we just see the end game panning out in a different way.
Indeed but surely the diverse book argument has now been smashed.
More diversity would leave us even more open to NM being outed.
The diverse book didn’t win it for NM, pi’s got him over the line.
I have said this all along which was ignored and still being ignored by yours truly. Re today proved my point 100%
You’d have to be a bit of a nutter to still believe a we have such a diverse book that makes it a defence.
The main share holders in his diverse book voted against him.
scraping through by what is 5% effectively, is hardly back to business as usual.
If BHP want this they know they are going to have to pay for it now, which is positive for us and why I voted in favour.
That doesn't mean I voted for us going alone to production, (another lie by Q this morning) as I know this is not going to happen, despite what Q says , the case for bids is now even stronger than before, for very obvious reasons only a few on here can't see.
Maybe at long last we will get some rewards for holding
With 45% against NM, which is a lot in corporate terms, we can assume that any worthy bid to share holders would be accepted at this time.
What price would NM have to put the offer to share holders? At what point does NM have to put it to us rather than saying he has had interest, as previously done when we were told there were 13 interested parties?
I know this factual stuff winds some up on here with their heads in the sand but hey ho.
