BIDS is a growth velocity story and as such should be valued on future potential and progress made in a space of time
The revenue forecast for FY 2018 was from £0 - £300k
The revenue growth forecast for this year is from £300k to £5.85m
This year's forecast gives a revenue growth velocity of ~1800% which includes monthly break even around October
Market expectations for growth and revenue were stated at the time of the RTO, before any of the cloud game streaming announcements were made, notably from Google Stadia
Game Streaming services, which aim to "Spotify" / revolutionise the games industry, have resulted in significant additional opportunities for the company as the Spotify model relies heavily on advertising to create a free to use service from which it creates a critical mass for a premium subscription service
Monetisation of the Secondary Audience is a very interesting avenue of pursuit as a single game player with an audience of 100 or 1000 or 10,000 viewers on YouTube or Twitch can potentially increase the number of impressions by 100x, 1000x or 10,000x
The company have met targets thus far and have remained confident of meeting this year's target and it’s easy to see how.
The 2018 number of £317k revenue was generated in ~2.5 months last year, to 31st December. The majority of the 2018 revenue came from a single title Football Manager 2019 that launched in November (FM18, had been live testing from June). This was achieved with a brand new new sales team, via direct to brand channels only.
In 2019 there are 3 titles live (including a AAA title, Dirt Rally 2.0) and another AAA title to come online in September (Grid) along with 2 live DSPs (automatic sales) and being on the cusp of integration with the likes of $billion global DSPs like Trade Desk.
Not to mention the sales team is significantly more developed sales team and Lewis Sherlock heading it all up. Lewis has significant access to Xaxis and WPP besides others like Verizon, AOL
In my view the people the company has attracted alone justify the valuation on their own, backing such an idea with effectively limitless potential. If this were a private company with this team the company would likely be valued today in the hundreds of millions. They don't need the money, they are here because individually in their own careers they have achieved the successes in their respective industries that Bidstack is aiming for in Gaming and Advertising. They clearly can see how they fit in and how to make it happen by working with Bidstack and opening the right doors at the right times
