Most of the sells yesterday were at the opening which dropped the sp then PIs & traders hoovered the cheap shares .. Some MMs hold positions as well if they think the shares were heavily discounted

I see old/new traders exchanging shares and new PIs picking up any sold shares straight away, nice support at 3.6 and the overall buys are more the the sells so far :

The spike on Nasdaq was due to RSI hit 30% which flagged on many US TA charts traders.

Even though SP dropped 14.45% but the day ended with more buys than sells which means many investors were pleased with the results and took advantage of the unjustified drop :

Sp bounced back up from 3.7p on the 8/9th of Aug so I think we'll see some sp recovery tomorrow .

The first question many investors will probably ask is why aren’t prices going higher if this situation isn’t exactly new to the markets? The answer to that is long-term forecasts can take a long time to materialize. The reaction in market prices isn’t a smooth ride and often takes longer to happen than expected. Also, there are many issues facing the copper market that are dragging on prices. Not to mention that it is not carved in stone that there will be a supply gap in the coming years and forecasts are not always correct.

The trend has been down with most commodity prices and the overwhelming reason for that might be due to concerns for weaker global demand for commodities. European economies are weakening and some are flirting with deflation. China and the U.S. are in a “trade war” and there are concerns of those economies getting weaker. That is the current situation. It could fall more negative or get much better. That might be what determines prices direction in the future.
The good thing is that copper prices have come down quite a lot. The supply / demand situation is fairly positive for higher prices and a turn higher in the global economy could setup a much tighter supply situation in the coming years. As long as China and the U.S. economies are stabilized or improve and the electric vehicles market continues to accelerate its growth, copper may likely see higher prices ahead.

With lower copper prices potentially delaying Baimskaya’s development and the increasing leverage, we have lowered our PT by 25%, to GBp 509/share, but this still leaves 21% upside, after the 15% decline after the results, which we believe to be an overreaction. The stock lacks catalysts until 1H20E, when we expect the feasibility study for Baimskaya; until then, it will remain a leveraged play on copper prices, which could decline further, without a Chinese-US agreement on trade. However, we remain positive on the long-term outlook for copper and believe this could present a buying opportunity. We maintain our BUY on the stock.

Puss1984, I couldn’t understand the sudden spike really because it came out of the blue , maybe a couple of shorters realised that 6p was the bottom so they chosen to cover their positions or perhaps the bullish trend shown on bargain hunters TA charts and some of them held positions .. saying that, we only had half the average daily volume today and we ended with more sells than buys...

The important thing sp is currently recovering, the day ended above 7p and it broke two resistance levels so hope we’ll see nice recovery this month back to 9-10p level.

So I was sitting on loss all week and only today I decided to ‘play it smart’ and trade my shares all the way up to recover my loss quicker so I sold at 6.6 and had in mind to buy back when the sp dips... next think I know, it spiked :/

Well, this wasn’t my lucky week anyway ... I will try to find the right timing next Monday to hold back.

Hi JTMacs, The way I see it 6p is the new support now and we should start to see some sp recovery next week but you have to keep in mind that TCG is a volatile share and shorters took advantage of the poor sentiment (hence the increase in short positions). Selling volumes obviously decreasing and the buying pressure has been building up since Wednesday, however, the overall volumes still not up to our hopes .......yet !

Once we get a couple of blue days then we will start to see more day traders/bargain hunters coming our way. If you are in deep loss then my advice would be to trade this volatile share all the way up, sell on 8-10% recovery then top up on the dips because until we get decent daily volumes here (at least 50% of the average daily volume) shorters will take advantage of TCG sp volatility.

Just to make my position crystal clear to this BB, I am NOT INVESTING in TCG or expecting a miracle in October......I dont trust Frank or his FCO and I don't think they are working in the best interest of shareholders but if TCG decided to go a head and explore NK's offer then I might change my views. Saying that TCG is very tradable stock and I can see the sp recovers back to 9-10p so expect me to be here until then !
