ADME' CEO Interview 10.09.1910 Sep 2019 16:43
1- I've been in the oil industry for 15 years or so and my main talent, if I may, has been originating deal with so many companies around. I help them find asset, structure deals and effectively manage them. I run oil companies myself being director of EER. So, and I've done that for a long time and this is been a big focus in an African Nigeria, Africa. I've worked all over the region, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Egypt, Libya during the Gaddafi era, mainly Nigeria as well. & I ended up becoming the head of the federal civil service Nigeria. I know of how the bureaucracy works behind African corridors, I understand the different levels of bureaucratic involved in the sector.
3-What are your plans for the company? Many asset owners are looking for public companies to create liquidity events for them. So we have a three to four transaction which we're looking at, I think in the coming months we'll begin to conclude these transactions.
4-We won't touch exploration, which is more for when we are billion dollar company or so we can afford to take some capital risk.
5-We're looking for assets that I've already been explored in. Oil and gas has been discovered. Our approaches to option to deal, speak to the asset owners, pay them an option fee and to give us a period of time, three months, six months to value the asset and make equity contribution.
Assets are in various sizes, assets that had been appraised already ready for development and then there are producing assets, which we invest through +++ or banks we know.
Is that in Africa? Mainly West Africa. Yeah. We have a very good pipeline and very mature. I mean most of the deals I'm talking about, I've already been working on them even before I joined ADM Energy so I'm relatively confident in that we'll deliver on these things.
6-Most fields in Nigeria produces gas. We were producing oil and know we are working with partners, four of us to complete the development plan to expand and develop the gas. Yeah. So we're busy.
7- What would you say is the investment case for me home watching this in the company? Why should they take a serious look at you? Because we understand the oil sector very well. We understand the peculiarity of managing diverse partners, various institutions, government all involved in the oil sector. we already have a mature pipeline. I'm not starting my job looking for deals, I have the deals, I just need to reconstructure them then complete them.
8-would you be looking to be the operator? That would come later, we are an investment company, in six months, a year's time, once to evolve into an operating company, maybe when we are on a different exchange.
9-what about an ideal number of projects? I think over the next 12 months, maybe three projects, that's enough to keep us sufficiently occupied.
