Kap, agree with you that something along those lines may be in play. Just a feeling. But over the years I've learned to trust my feelings. Certainly not encouraging anybody else to invest on the back of them. I'm continuing to hold for the long haul

Think I'm missing something. Yes a major has terminated exclusivity. Big disappointment not getting hitched having been walked down the aisle. But there are still other suitors around. Is it really all as gloomy as posters suggest? Maybe as a LTH I have become institutionalised! With that caveat I remain positive

And when the dust settles it's good to reflect on the original reasons for investing. Not much has changed for me. If anything I am bolstered by the thought that we didn't simply go for the first deal on the table. Having M by our side undoubtedly injected some backbone. But it gives me confidence that the BoD really do have our interests at heart - first time I have said that! Anyway, keeping my original stake (still in profit with a 1.67 average) and would top up if I had anything spare. Looking forward with renewed hope and belief that this will come good

Couldn't resist a little top up. Nothing huge but really can't see a long term downside. If major pulls out we have others in the queue. Also, my son got his first choice course at Newcastle Uni this morning so feeling very glass half full. Fuelled by a few celebratory glasses but, well, why not! Keep the faith!

I'm in and sitting on a 75% loss. My plan is to sit it out, see what happens and probably chalk it up to experience. Re South - I started off disliking his posts but the simple truth is that his broad observations have been proved correct over time. I am therefore prepared to put my hand up and say that I (think) I got him wrong. I really have no axe to grind with anybody on this or other boards. I just think a little honesty and humility sometimes does not go amiss.

An open question. There has been a lot of speculation about the SP once we hit oil. But what then? Based on your past experiences, what will happen to the SP after reserves are proved but before production? Are you looking to sell up once we strike, top slice and keep some in for the ride or holding tight until production? Thoughts? How do you see this playing out longer term?

Does anybody know if the EA needs to be approved by the Bahamian Parliament or if it is simply signed off by the Minister responsible? Just wondering when the Bahamian Parliament goes into recess and whether that comes into the equation.
