Suppose it's horses for courses as they say, I don't have the time to do both, and I do all my swing trade's by eye and memory, very rare I do much else, have a look, keep tabs and up to date, know it's price ranges and bit of instinct and go for it.

I doubt news, there will be plenty of fitting and engineers putting it into place, rigorous testing and lots of safety checks to take place before even dry runs and then they will produce something of note.

You only ever do swing trades on AIM, troajan? You never do nasdaq listed stocks? Have to say there my bread and butter these days, becoming very adept at catching runs currently. Never thought to try AIM, see these as more investment than anything although some worth selling and returning at points, this not included obviously.

I'm currently running soundhound AI, and c4 therapeutics from there lows
