RE: More false predictions?22 Apr 2025 15:24
Trello,
In all honesty, I'm not that interested in Tarriffs. Thats Trumps bag, im not overly experienced to say if they will be good, bad or fail. But I'm open to him giving that a shot, given that it's been brought up for over 30 years and no one went and done it. Their economy and their country looks a dump, its not enviable from an outsider looking in. There is homeless and poverty, a lot of places but the levels there look astonishing. I've heard Trump speak about homeless, veterans, taxes, the way the country spends money far back to the 90,s. Without no skin in the game, its something he spoke about often. As for DOGE, I seen Obama describe the exact thing in office, and him and Biden had another name but it was in essence same thing. Reduce waste, department to department, and the blueprint was made in the 90s by same man who made the policies on wallstreet after the 2008 crash. His approach was actually more brutal, but in essence. Overhaul spending, rip down education funding to state level funding etc. Remove Bureaucracy, which takes up swathes of public taxes.
And now they are happening, I see people who have complaining far more than the ones without, the firms, investment groups and financial policy backers all out to have a say, but joe public wanting change. You can divide opinion from both ends, but I'm done listening to the ones who stand to lose, and more inclined to care about the people who have nothing to lose and everything to gain from someone they voted for.
As I say, im not a fan but I've never been a fan of what's been before. So the old adage of the enemy of my enemy is a friend? Could be why I support that change, and not him personally. No one here is qualified to make a case of its outcome, and listening to hedge fund operators, or people with skin in the game and lots to lose falls on deaf ears these days. He is a smart guy, but that doesn't mean I'd follow his word to the letter
