Well spotted, Kasheltrader and thanks for passing it on. This news will surely add greatly to the interest shown by the mega stars of the oil world. Being one of the world’s optimists, I feel a good night’s sleep coming on - and an earlier payday than currently predicted.
This may help. I have just read that stock held in a recognised exchange IS eligible for inclusion in an ISA. So I see no problem going forward.
My problem is that i am aged 90, so it’s a bit of a race for the exit. I want to splash the cash before I go. But at least the children and grandchildren etc should do well !
I find it rather amusing that, at one stage today, 88E were up nearly 20% piggy-backing on our news while Panr were down nearly 10%. But things are easing a little now. I hope we shall not have to wait too long to dispose of the shorters. I’ve no intention of selling any of my holding but I do find I am happier and more relaxed under a blue sky.
It may help the doubters to be reminded that the Board are fully convinced of the huge potential of PANR, given that, some time back, they turned down a ten-figure sum offered for the company.
Such knowledge is a whole lot better than a nerve tonic. It lets me sleep easy at night.
Many thanks to Border Spirit for the recap on what Pantheon is about. I’ve been a stockholder some 11 years, and to see the very sound, un-pushy Jay in action is very reassuring. It must be about 8 years ago I heard him say, in London, that he would soon be 70 and that he was planning to exit as soon as maybe. But that was Texas. He is still assuredly in favour of a profitable exit for us all at the earliest opportunity. Both he and Bob call the current find the star discovery of their life.
At the age of 89, I’m obviously eager for the fruition of my investment with Pantheon and a subsequent cruise or two. If I’m not still alive when it happens, my children and grandchildren may have cause to remember me warmly !
Firstly, my apology - $1.5 billion - from the Telegraph, which had fewer details than the
Grauni Ad. In any event, as a bit of an optimist, I believe any figure we come up with today will be consigned to history following the arrival of the next webinar.
A very interesting figure has come to light today. In the North Sea, the Cambo oilfield, with an estimated yield of 170 million BOE over 25 years, is being bought for some $1.4 billion. Such a figure should provide lots of ammunition to the mathematicians here. The current conservative estimate for PANR of 1.2billion barrels has the advantage of not being in the ocean but on land, of being close to the existing pipe-line currently running at around 50% capacity - and also next to the all-seasons highway. This all suggests we have a bit of a gem on our hands of quite breath-taking value. As I am approaching my 89th birthday, my children and grand-children will surely bless my investment as I doubt I shall have time to blue it. So, mathematicians, one pace forward please. What sale figure do you have in mind ?
Scot126. I’ve been a shareholder some ten years or more and keep adding to my holding. I thank you for all your input, especially recently on the matter of Farallon. Good syntax and grammar make your contributions a pleasure to read. All very succinct.
Just to note that my transaction this morning was a BUY of 7000, not a SELL. I am just putting my toe in the water ahead of Thursday's announcement. I am, of course, hoping that they will progress from here during the coming year. We shall see what they have to say on Thursday.
