I was getting offered 0.73 for 1st 2 million then very slightly less when offered 3 million. Not saying it would have been accepted by market but this was the live quote offered? Normally system just throws out any large volune as being outside of nms?

Yes it's true Simon arrived 2 years ago but really do u think he could have stated then and there, "hang on a sec there is valueless stuff here which we need to forget about and get rid of quickly" whilst the CEO was actively talking "everything" up so publicly?
Do we know if he in some way 're-directed limited funds from the assets which weren't going to provide returns "gently" and when Hughie was (finally) gone, got shot of quickly?
We don't but, he could have been?
We could have been in a far worse (further diluted) mess?
One thing I do think I know is and, this was all I was saying, was I don't think he is/was laughing at shareholders.
I think this is an unfair thing to say.
Whether he is the right person to take this company further is an altogether different argument and debate of course.

Rob I don't think he is laughing at all buddy.
He has "inherited" a total mess and I would imagine he is quite stressed about the road(s) ahead and certainly not laughing at long suffering loyal share holders who have held for many years and are suffering relatively large losses. It is not a good place for him to be and he does not have much to work with.

I've got to admit recently I was considering buying more but am thinking the recent statement about not needing any more funding for Wressle could turn out to be another "Hughie"? I don't remember them providing any sensitivity analysis regarding respective differing prices for oil per bbl (like ptal as an example) hence feel it could just be similar to that price per share and probability sheet they used to roll out!
Does anyone remember that lol? Wonder what that bubble diagram looks like now?!
So for moment I'm holding out for lower possible purchase price.
As an aside from my high gamble area of portfolio (where eog always has been) I did buy another million aex yesterday as that finally does look to be coming good? Could be another year wait though and very high risk before anyone comes back and laughs at me!!

My mate was out there 12 years ago and said it was fine to work - as were the politics and no different from any of the West African countries we had worked in?
