The major is gone as per guidance from EOG.
The half million buy was after confetti Hugh saw fit to dilute everyone for such world class assets and will now put a lot on massive share price rises. (Rockets).

Ah Tanzania you finally get it? That I really don't care about ticks up or down lol. There is probably one of two punters on here who I respect and may care (a little!) about what they had to say and that is it!!
I think you need to look up the meaning of the word irony, buddy. You give credit to punters like tip top and dwerky - which straight away puts you in the "mug" category.
Then you complain about day / short term traders and because you don't like it ask them to leave??!!

You have a few 50 quid punters wanting to get a little and dont care either way. You (very rarely) get people who know what they are talking about and the rest either know f all and realise that and some who know f all and don't realise it (mugs)?! You can choose to listen to who you want in a pub or even leave if you don't like the language ?

My $500k estimate (don't know if the bod eventually admitted to a figure in that "region") was always caveated as optimistic as it relied on suitable tools and equipment being nearby or easily transported and it probably woukd have been significantly higher than that.
How I chuckled to meself when I first heard that figure quoted.

Robbie I really don't need to "check it out on the inter net". Any decent well mgt company or service provider normally the their respective services to their own product or there are liability issues written into services contract!!
I realky do not think they would have used lower grade barite in the circumstances because (from memory) the service companies used were goid quality and reputable. However again if this is a valid consideration and they didn't use a gunk pill then it just goes to show again what a waste of a well it was?

Robbie Ffs are you seriously saying they scrimped on the barite?! The cost savings for that would have been totally negligible and the service companies tasked with this would have simply laughed the well mgt team out of the office and refused to use "low grade barite" (If that exists)? I have never come across such a suggestion before.
What do you base this on?

MAX for about a million times this actually is not a bad deal considering the ridiculous situation mgt had got into. Ffs there probably were no takers for these assets and if the Omanis realky wanted to play hardball they'd have just let Aex to die and presented a rescue rights issue or (worse) asset backed bond.
Imho as I've said a million times b4 the mistake was the rig. If they had not penny pinched on that then they'd have had much more data that would have potentially incentivised some other parties and made negotiations different.
However hindsight (for previous aex mgt getting the rig wrong!) is a wonderful thing.
