Just wondering if any of you are in Hecla?

It just shot up 8% when the yankton opened and I can't see any news.

I'm sure I read a comment on here recently, which stated that support and resistance don't exist.

Having given it further thought I'm not sure that I agree.

Over the years I have witnessed many occasions where both resistance and support levels are clearly visible on charts. We are currently bouncing bouncing back off around $75 which was the recent low or at the time support level. I think if 75 is broken convincingly we have a chance of more upside movement. The price has climbed up to nudge it several times in the last few hours. The other thing that often happens is that when that level is refused enough times momentum turns the other way.

It occurred to me that the same information used to produce the charts is used to feed the trading algorithms. It would be fascinating to know how they are set up to deal with these situations.

Can you just imagine what the price would do if CME took of a couple of the recent margin hikes!

They are deliberately suppressing the price while still selling contracts for silver that they don't physically have in inventory.

Anyone else doing this would get locked up for fraud!

What also stinks to high heaven is that people from the big banks sit on the CME committee.

As I mentioned previously, why would big banks sit on massive naked shorts unless they had control of the price to allow them to smash it down to clear their positions?

The paltry fines are way below the profits they are making from this blatant manipulation so it is just another day in the office.

All at the expense of the mug retail punters who are playing on a totally rigged field.

The only way we will ever see an end to the corrupt behaviour of the banks is when the fines exceed the savings made exiting short positions using manipulation.

The ideal thing to do is put a few of the banks CEOs in prison, that would be justifiable given the carnage they have orchestrated.

I think that the key issue with the silver price is suppy/demand problems. For all we know they may not exist but I tend to believe that they do.

One thing that could obviously weigh on the situation is a general market downturn leading to a crash . If that happens demand will reduce for silver but on the other side gold is likely to become a safe haven commodity as cash just loses value with continuing inflation.

I actually believe that general conditions are leading us up to a serious market correction, with the amount of debt and global instability it looks likely.

Having predicted the 2008 crash and making significant profits from buying back in the dip I'm keeping some capital handy should we see a similar situation.

In the meantime I still believe precious metals have upside for anyone patient enough to ride out the rough patch.

Be lucky with whatever you are trading now that you are pessimistic about silver.

I just happened to be watching the silver chart last night, wondering where it might ever stop dropping, then saw the sell trades all of a sudden stop. Up until that point you could actually see each small up tick get smashed back down and lower. When it changed direction it was a total reversal of that trend with every slight drop pushed straight back up.

If you look at the recovery candle from the 64 area you can see that including the wick it was the biggest hourly move upwards we have seen for a while.

Meanwhile the markets are generally down, crypto is creeping back up as is wall street and we seem to be tracking that a bit with the silver price.

Just hope we don't get the usual daily knock back today.

Silver now in freefall, no telling where the bottom will be.

Whether or not Comex remains relevant in the long term, it is currently the benchmark paper price that the miners shares prices are following.

My belief is that people have just had a gut full of the savage crashes once the price rises a little.

Maybe it is investor fatigue but whatever we decide to call in both gold and silver are stagnant with silver drifting back down towards the low of today with no enthusiasm for upside.

Pretty amazing when you take into account that only a week ago we were at $120.

I still believe that silver has to rise in price if supply is to be maintained, allowing the price miners get paid to tank is going to kill it off.

I believe that Comex has done for the paper silver market now. Why would anyone trust them? There is just no buying pressure even at sub $75 levels.

Watching this live is interesting if scary! Every time there is a bit of an upward movement it is immediately knocked back down. No doubt automatic trading going on. We are rapidly approaching the low point from the first crash so it needs to turn back soon!

Have the Yanks realised that smashing the price below $75 will kill the golden goose? Particularly so soon after the overnight crash?

They need people to still believe there is hope for the upside to refill the basket so they can steal it all again later.

I'm sure we all trust Larry Fink, his last name is a bit of a giveway! The current "market" activity must have helped his case immensely.

Ask yourselves who would want to buy Comex paper at this point? We've seen that whatever money you invest will be snatched by the institutions and in effect buying the futures has been exposed as buying something that doesn't exist and can be reprised by fraudsters before settlement becomes due.

I liken it to the analogy of throwing a stick for a dog, then each time it brings it back you give it a clout. Pretty soon you will be fetching your own stick as the dog doesn't want to play anymore!

With all that taken into account silver is still required in a large number of industrial applications so some sort of pricing system has to evolve to make production profitable for them.

How often do we see good news met with a drop in share price? More often than not as the old adage of selling on news seems to work.

I'm wondering if we are about to see a full on market crash, I've been predicting another one for a while now, the FTSE and Wall Street are way over inflated considering the debt problems and in the UK an economy strangled by the communist party.

Take a look at UK banks and builders this morning, it ain't pretty!

The miners share prices are currently following Comex not the true value of the physical metal.

What incentive is there for people to carry on buying Comex paper contracts when they know there is no physical silver to cover them?

Unless something is done to stop the legalised fraud of the Comex system I can't see this going well for us in the near future.

Thousands of people will have been wiped out and it wouldn't surprise me to hear that some had ended their own lives over it.

This is a blatant scandal in full public view but we all know it will get brushed under the carpet.

Silver not pushing back up as well as it did after the last crash, will we see another test of the support today?

The 2am spit silver candle shows a drop if 14.15% in just one hour, obviously just a bit of normal profit taking 🙄 A great reason for putting in a price floor!

Fres has recovered better than some of the others but in fairness it had been lagging the recovery from the first criminal crash.

What should we expect at 14.30 today then? Our friends across the pond to come in and smash the price down to $50?

You could argue that we've seen the previous support level tested and held but reading charts and trying to use them only makes sense in a market that isn't fully rigged.

Fines are not enough for what is happening here, serious prison time needs to be served!😡

Timed my top up wrong, should have waited for the afternoon smash down.

I think we need to keep in mind that we are only a few days in from a massive crash so the ripples have to be expected.

Hopefully it hasn't stopped too many people out.
