If the SP is a true reflection of the asset value of the company involved how the hell can it change so quickly? Answer; because it has naff all to do with it. The SP is a figure at which point some people think the company has good future prospects so they buy some or a figure at which people think the company won't improve in future so they short it. Once people get their heads around that it frees the mind to consider why prices fluctuate so much :) It is all about sentiment and belief in the company you are trading.

it is when the people who tell us what is going to happen decide that they think the price is going up. If you look at the opinion box above the messages here before you post you can rate the share yourself. I'm rating this a "buy" cos I already have shares and I want you all to buy to improve my position LOL

Did you mean it wasn't you who set sell at 32p? If not just out of interest how close to your price did you sell?

upgrades are the kiss of death usually. Had a lovely little long bet doing nicely on BDEV last week, Goldman AND Citigroup raised the target price on most UK builders and down went the SP LOL Recovering well now but it isn't always immediately positive when the company gets uprated! NTG has to be a banker though? I'm holding for far better than this SP

never, never, never, never put all your eggs in one basket! Have a broad spread of shares in your PF to cover all options. So pleased to hear you didn't go all out although luckily this one would have been OK.

I'm in at 18 so not far behind you ;) I agree that concern was shown over consolidation, I've added a bit of detail in todays mail out to cover that. Wonder if people realise that the sell off from the big gap up this morning will have been automatic sells? Looking at the volumes I'd say that some who set limits at 32p and had a reasonable number of shares to sell could be less than impressed with the price they got ? ;))))

Quite so, point I was making really was that the consolidation didn't kill it MEC. I feel NTG will have an equal chance of a good recovery with time so will be holding my already profitable March10 long bet and my shares which are up 50% already :) Just my thoughts, could be wrong, has to happen one day LOL

Think you will find that since consolidation MEC has done quite nicely ;) Well my shares nearly doubled so I call that a spanky doodle trade LOL It brings the company into the view of the institutionla markets but thats just my take on it.

Just make sure you round your shares up or down mate or they will chop you short!

Drop in SP triggered my stop loss on the bet but no worries, small loss only which is what it is meant to do. Did you hear they are havng a 7 to 1 consolidation?
