I had this reply to an email this morning.
I’ve got to the bottom of where this application is.
I’ve had a reply from Elizabeth Humphrey saying ‘the Inspector is still completing the report and recommendation. We will transfer it to you as soon as the report is submitted to the SoS.’
So it will come to us as its been declared a recovered appeal – one decided by a minister (or someone acting on their behalf) rather than by the Planning Inspectorate – but at the moment the Inspector is still completing their report. These reports are often very long with a lot of detail, so they are probably trying to ensure everything is factually correct and there are no errors.
Once we receive it, one of our officers will assess the case including the Inspector’s report and a decision will be made as to whether it needs to be submitted to a minister or decided by officers.
If it does have to go to a minister, that will obviously add more time onto when the final decision will be released.
I hope that this email provides you with some clarity on the situation. As I had forwarded your email below to the Planning Inspectorate, you may get another response from them.
