commercia - I don't bully those who have respect of others opinions and understanding a persons point of view - I dismay at the self conceited arrogant types who - actually - "bullied" ME FIRST - just because I question the integrity of the share. I do not take those types or others of similar ilk lightly and will take them to task if they continue. So that particular individual will get his / her comeuppance if not careful !
As to my interest - I held shares in tlw that I bought at c.3.15 average many years ago and sold at around avg. 12.89 - over the course of a few major sales - of course I never expected the price when 16+ to go any higher and felt it was grossly overvalued at that level and of course despite all the hype surrounding the bandwagon types, the form fell fast downwards truly to form.
I am not convinced even at this lower price today then many years ago when I procured them, that this is necessarily a decent proposition. It needs to fall to below 2.00 to make my juices flow again - and I feel it will.
I proved myself correct in the past wiith this share, got out [wished at 16.00 though - but hey] and contrary to many who no doubt got severely stung.
I want REAL analysis for the BB - not hype to push up a price for self interest and personal gain - that does not stack with me at all. And you can usually spot those do. This DK's anger was probably due to the fact that he saw me as a traitor to the old boys club.
The best thing he can do is to publicly apologise on this BB - it would be a start. If not - one more twitch and I will be taking steps for him to be removed.
Dark Knight - tetchy eh ?? I assume you have been done by this "prediction" and somehow your Ego cannot take the unfortunate consequences when proven wrong. Banks "predictions" are joke onto themselves. Have you lost money ??
I am not sad nor old - maybe your are or would desire to become so - you certainly practice well - keep up the good work.
Any further insults from you and I shall have you removed from this BB. The evidence is plentiful.
Have a splendid day.
Dark Knight - you make out you are some super-sluth - arrogant and unwilling to deviate away from your own narrow minded set of views. In other words part of the Old Tullow Boys Club....where they can do no wrong.
Well as far as I am concerned your "predictions" nor anything to be associated with them are total garbage. And your reckless views / opinions are certainly not to be trusted or opined upon
As for "starting a fight" it is YOU sir, with that unfounded arrogance that took the "I know it all stance" - check the dates of the posts you made. Just because I made a contrarian viewpoint does not give you the right to have addressed me in the manner you did. You predicted wrong and that's that
Check yourself out - you Buffoon.....
Or maybe your numbskull don't extend to that - you Buffoon....
OMG - "market manipulation" now - that has been one of the regular all time excuses for YEARS as to why the Tullow SP dived like it did .....
Whats different now then ?
If it is the same today then the price will not likely ever reach those heady numbers you predict.
Maverick - furthermore I will NOT be influenced by the "Jolly Old Tullow Boys Clubs" that you find on these Bulletin Boards whose sole aim is to promote tullow to the full whilst setting aside their weaknesses.
Gives an extremely distorted view of a company to the uninitiated .....
Shame on you if you do.
Sadly for drone he doesn’t understand the correlation between the oil price and share price and more importantly the impact of additional wells coming on stream Ghana and massive potential in Guyana.
I understand very well the correlation......did not work too well when the SP dived did it ?
A lot more trust in tullow has to be gained before investors will pile into the share.
Distrusted James - you are a COMPLETE buffoon - one of the main duties of the Directors should be to ensure that a steady and sustainable rise in share value is achieved - by whatever means they claim to do that. The SP is a reflection of what they have done [or not], trust in their future plans [investors always consider this - just in case you didn't know...] and investors will always consider this. In the past there has been a MONUMENTAL decline in the SP since its highest - currently at 13 % !!
The Board will have to wait a very long time now with a string of real success to get a SP anywhere like they achieved in the past.
Many disgruntled investors in Tullow will not so easily forget.
And I have decided to go and glance back on your previous posts just to see how many times you have flunked your opinions from bygone times - I am bound to find many and will draw them to your attention. Then we can all see how YOU have been spouting on........
Watch this space.
InJamesweDon't trust - Last 2 / 3 years Mar 16 SP = 206 : Jan 17 = 325 : Jan 18 = 220 : Feb 19 = 202 [today]
Well the Board hasn't exactly done anything right either judging by the SP.................isn't that enough ??
InJamesweTrust - "Drone - you're quite frankly a moron"
Well you are indeed extremely rude and I shall return the courtesy by saying you are more than a Moron,,,,
I am not saying Exxon are lying to the market did I ? Even the best said words do not guarantee success and you should know that Tullow are prime examples of this - they said they would monetise Uganda and look what happened - nothing. They said Kenya next and of course - nothing ! They most likely did not "lie" as you said and nor do I say they did. However, circumstances whatever they were, saw to it that they did NOT monetise.
The same will apply to Guyana - 3 years may materialise then maybe it will not. Maybe 5 or 10 years will pass by with an abundance of "reasons" as to why it has not happened [as in the case of UG & Kenya]
The well known expression - the "oil Curse" may well hit Guyana - as it stands, they are not exactly in an enviable position in the latest International Transparency Index. Getting into oil is very likely to exaggerate an already precarious standing.
"Why are you here drone ?"
No I most certainly did NOT buy at 16.
First - I am here not to listen to a bunch of pro-tullowites who think that the company is a be all and end all....a kind of Club with only a narrow visionary viewpoint.
Secondly - nor anm I here to listen to those that are the opposite.
I want a sensible viewpoint on where the SP will be and no one here has convinced me that its a worthwhile investment.
And I have a right to say as I see fit - its as simple as that.
LOL Maverick - yet Tullow had the enviable dishonour of being relegated out of the FTSE 100 - which many of those so called companies you say have followed similar did not.
Tullow price remains at c12% c.210 of when it was at its high c1600
And the new management and debt, well, that's story again for the initiated......
Quite dismal really ....................
InJamesweTrust - thank you and in particular reference to your point - "With Guyana they have 60% of one of the most eagerly anticipated blocks in the world - which Exxon are showing can be monetized inside 3 years"
Tullow also claimed they would monetise Uganda and then Kenya and to date after al those years no real progress at all. It should make one wonder if Exxon's claims to monetize Guyana within 3 years is at not just "pie in the sky"
Maverick - "I’ve already answered your question so won’t waste any more of my time - comprende"
You are indeed a rude individual and you have NOT answered my question - your so called answers are seriously "flawed"
The biggest hugest mistake that tullow made was buying into Uganda - what a disaster that was. Kenya is no better. THAT is the main reason why the SP went so drastically down.
If you do proper research you will see the SP & Poo for 2009 was between 530-1169 at a time when poo averaged $62. For 2019 the SP has performed no higher then 215 when the Poo was also around $62. Quite a difference mistakes make eh !
Now tell me why "investors" like yourself believe that more mistakes will not be made ? Hence the low price.
COMPRENDE !!
Sorry Dabbler / Maverick - You need to research the history of the tullow share price which followed an unprecedented disastrous catalogue of sorry events that saw a share plummet like it was going out of fashion.
What have they really done since - nothing of consequence.
My original question was based on why the decline from a high of 16+ to such a low level now.
Did you lose a lot ??
Dabbler - its been a catalogue of things that haven't gone according to plan for quite some years - the question is that investor confidence has been severely damaged and it could take several more years of actually getting things RIGHT before the share price starts to move enough to make it a worthwhile investment.
Not so sure that this will happen.
Stick by your 3 but I believe you will be disappointed.
