I think we can be fairly sure Nick already knows exactly where he stands , the recent investment by CGP insiders would suggest they a some degree of confidence. If nothing else tomorrow is a watershed moment and a great deal of uncertainty will be removed on way or another

I see tomorrow’s meeting as quite binary and the whole thing comes down to BHP . If he doesn’t have their support he probably f***ed , if he does have their support it’s JV or sale to BHP . There is no way BHP will be supporting a move to take this to production.... why would they ?

I think a bid has been “ imminent “ for a while and NM knows it .... hence Citi and the delay in PFS .... I think NM is holding out as long as he can whilst trying to create as much value as possible prior to this move .... an operation of this size and scale is made for a major and not the likes of Solgold. My ideal scenario would be for someone ( almost certainly BHP) to take Cascabel and therefore provide the ongoing funding for what we do best , exploration and proving up ..... we should stick to what we do best ..... personally I believe the first move could come anytime now and judging by the desperation regarding the AGM so do Solgold......

Well CGP certainly don’t see it that way . The problem is that the thought of taking this to production is always going to stunt any short term share price appreciation. However maintaining this stance is the best way NM can extract a decent bid ..... which is exactly what he will do ..... he’s probably working on it as we type

Yes Addinct , what I meant was CGP insiders are clearly very confident that Nick will not be taking this to production....

But wouldn’t anyone potentially interested in buying Alpala be thinking what most of us are “ I wonder if Porvenir or Rio may be even better propositions?” .... the only thing that’s makes me feel differently is the recent take up by the insiders at CGP , they clearly see Alpala as having decent near term upside and that’s why they were so keen to turn down what many of us thought was a reasonable offer
