Bozi …. It’s a question of how we fund this for the next however many years ….. servicing all the licenses …. Exploration costs ….. whatever other spend commitments we’ve made to the Ecuadorean government. It will either mean giving away a huge chunk in royalties or massive dilution. I have never said your scenario wasn’t in many ways preferable I just think we’re being told this will be a a simple one time takeout …. The strategic review ( if we get one ) will hopefully shed some more light on this.
Hoping the company releases some decent stuff in the run up to the AGM and a swift conclusion thereafter.

Virtually all of our problems over the last couple of years seem to have stemmed from the attempts of a couple of major shareholders to destabilise the company.
Since Nick stepped down as CEO we have seen value eroded here and more recently I’d say a lot of the damage was actually done from within, though that’s just my opinion. That problem has now been removed and we now appear to be working closely with people who know the sector inside out and how to extract maximum value for shareholders.
Having the Chinese on board is a massive bonus and brings another big player into the equation which I’ve always felt was essential, I personally believe they will add too this initial tranche .
We are entering a hugely exciting faze in this story and I think it’s never been more important to get behind the board and show our support at the upcoming AGM.
The market doesn’t seem to have cottoned on yet but it will soon and when it does this opportunity will be gone for all.

Clever ….. it’s going to be sold in the near future for a substantial premium to the current share price but in all likelihood not for as much as we all once hoped.

The board have asked for our support and I like what’s been happening over the last few weeks … all pretence about going to production now removed and clearly looking to get this sold …… all of which I’m fully behind so why wouldn’t I support the board?
If you don’t wish to vote that’s your prerogative now go find someone else to argue with

Ii has made it really easy otherwise simply instruct them how you wish to vote. I voted fully in support of the board and its recommendations. No point being invested in a company you don’t have faith in.

Bozi I agree a full sale doesn’t suit everybody and that it may not extract maximum value but I think that’s what is coming …

In the uk the rules are such that at 30% a company has to make a bid. In Aus and Canada the rules are more stringent and at 20% and perspective bidder has to declare their intentions…. Wonder what price NCM would be a seller at ?
Equally if the Chinese were to take the CGP stake too it would be then be interesting to see if they have been adding on the side or via Valuestone …. 20% wouldn’t be a million miles away

Well I’ve lodged my votes nothing to be done now but sit back and watch this unfold ….. I think it’ll be a straightforward takeover and hopefully they’ll get this merger over the line soon .
