The question was never whether BP shares existed in some form in the 1970s. The question was whether you held them, while underage, and where your proof is.

If they were held for you by a parent, nominee or trustee, just say that. If you inherited them, say that. If you personally bought them as a child investor before breakfast and became the Warren Buffett of school milk money, show the evidence.
