This increase is largely due to reliance on outdated exploration methods. Many 'easy' resources - those outcropping at the surface - have already been discovered. Minerals form under specific genetic conditions - identifying and predicting each of the mineral system components is essential for cost-effectively locating minerals, including sedimentary copper.
