Latin-American hotel brand Selina has opened its third UK property in Brighton.

The brand, which last year secured a £80m finance deal to fund its expansion across Europe, has launched the new location on the promenade in the city, adding to its portfolio of UK properties in Manchester and Birmingham.

The new hotel has been transformed from the former West Beach Hotel and now comprises 31 bedrooms, categorised into private rooms, suites and shared rooms with sea views.

Wincanton has extended its warehousing contract with home furnishings firm Loaf for another five years as it moves to drive growth in the home, health and beauty sectors. A survey conducted by the British Medical Association found that half of doctors working in high risk environments do not have access to appropriate face masks. Also, the British Dental Association has lamented the typical UK dentist who can go through 250 face masks per week is now restricted to 100 no matter the practice size. A study by HSE and PHE on the use of PPE in health care settings published on the 27th of March recommended the use of FFP3 but if not available FFP2 and N95 masks can be used. However, there is no certified manufacturing of face masks in the UK and there is only one manufacturer of spunbond and meltblown nonwoven medical fabrics, a material used for FFP2/N95 disposable respirators.

Zero Motorcycles, the largest electric motorcycle company in the United States, recently filed for two new trademarks: “Zero DSR/X” and “Zero FX/E”.

We don’t have a lot of other information about what these trademarks could mean in terms of an actual electric motorcycle hitting the road, but there are already some definite clues. First of all, both trademarks indicate an off-road direction. The existing Zero DSR platform is Zero’s high performance dual sport bike, designed to offer weekday commuters the ability to hit the trails on the weekend.
