Peel Hunt today upgrades its investment rating on Lonmin PLC (LON:LMI) to hold (from reduce) and raised its price target to 85p (from 60p).

its 86.3p not 84p in shares not cash. the £1 was a weighted avg (over many months) of the company's SP taking Lonmin over.

TA-trade over exposing himself i'd rather not have stick in my mind thank you! gains holding nicely so far. i got 25% of my portfolio in this. so a bit overly exposed!

broken a key support level but will wait 4 hour time-frame to be sure its going to hold. if it does then i think my 177p could be achieved!

small late sell-off. had expected a bit more buying this afternoon and a break above 66p. Platinum up 1.5% since LSE close.

getting a wee lift off the back of a weakening USD. thats the good news. the bad news is that WTI has yet to bounce off critical support. If that fails then brent could be heading to mid 50s. A 12% drop. For Tullow that would be a circa x2 % drop. SP 190p. do the maths. takes us down to 145.60p support. 145.60p is target.

could well drop to 115p before a sustainable move back up. even that may not be bottom. the speed of the drop over last couple of days does make you wonder how much lower it could go. i think 134p was the low but no guarantee that will hold if tested. could be a good trade around that level with a small stop-loss in place.
