Hawkish Powell speech coming. watch the USD push oil weaker. good start for oil price this morning but will it hold? its still under the long-term bullish channel.

if 149p breaks this will fly IMO. 143p so far today..

just sold my oil stock. Ophir (OPHR) at 42p. someone just dumped 50,000 shares following me lead..

hitting resistance now. WTI at $68

oil - after the largest daily gain in 2 months maybe the rise will stall today.

looks like oil is heading a little higher today. i have some resistance at WTI $67.40, bulls are winning so far today granted.

i don't follow copper that much. but i see KAZ is still falling.. copper could well be a much better trade than oil stocks. Copper is like where oil was a couple of years ago? i have a target to buy KAZ if funds permit.

well those good inventory numbers have failed to push oil outside of the sideways trading range its in. on balance i still think the path of least resistance is down. but still holding my shares in Ophir Energy (OPHR).

a better day coz the USD dropped back a bit giving brent a little reprieve before the big drop that is surely coming?? the technicals still telling me to stay out! so that is what i will do. will inventory data make a difference? i dunno. many will be hoping for an inverse of last week's big build numbers. that has happened many times before but will it be enough?..
