why don't CMC Markets allow shorting of PMO?

no need to be so nasty. just because a post on the PMO board you thinks i want to short PMO. maybe you're right maybe not.

this may surprise a few folk. but i've never shorted a stock in my life. any suggestions which broker site to register with?
Selftrade (now EQi) don't have the facility to short.
with shorting do you have to have a % £ deposited with the broker? then there is a monthly fee while to short is kept open? is that how it works?
