Hi Haggis. I do understand itâs a demo and have a pretty good grasp of solar, which of course can be backed up with batteries. I would have been surprised if the tower didnât work as expected, but output seems modest and the RNS was light on the important detail. If Acciona are genuinely impressed then orders will follow, so we will have to wait and see.
The formal application was in, and the officers report written for the committee to approve. There was no âstumbling blockâ as the committee would follow the officerâs recommendation, and approve the application. It wasnât pulled due any flagged stumbling block and there were no objections. It was pulled so that ITM could make design amendments to the scheme. ITM could make design amendments after planning was granted, but this route may be faster. Whatever the design amendments are, they must be material - for some reason or other.

The Hebridean event is in effect the last race of the current Extreme E calendar, replacing one of two âcancelledâ South American venues - Brazil and Argentina. The comment on AFCâs website states that the final round has âyet to to be confirmedâ, however it seems it now has. Assuming AFC powered the South America events, is there any reason to think they wonât be in the Hebrides.
