But Israel have tried and tried and tried to get with their neighbours for decades. They allow Arabs and Palestinians to live in Israel. But they’ve been attacked from all sides, in all kinds of horrific fashions. What do you expect them to do? Oct 7th was, and should be, the final straw.

Olly, of course we/they aren’t, but I know which country, and political/social ideology I’d rather live under.

I also view Trump’s presidencies as symptomatic of the situation, not the cause of it…

Iran:

• Exporting & financing of terrorism worldwide

• Repression and the mass murder of their own population

• The desire to wipe Israel off the map

• The desire to obtain nuclear weapons

Russia:

• Destabilising nations and intentionally causing mass migration in to Europe

• Invasion of Ukraine

• Cyber attacks/crime

• Sabotage campaigns

China:

• The largest industrial espionage operations ever known to mankind

• Industrial scale theft of intellectual property

• Mass international surveillance operations and population data theft (new one this week)

• Strategically the West’s biggest long term challenge

To name a few off the top of my head…

Now, don’t get me wrong, we have allowed all of the above to transpire over the years through weakness & backhanders, but we must not allow it to continue unchecked anymore…imho.
