Agreed. Still, no shorts has got to be a good thing short term and I’m very positive mid to long term. Unless there is something signicant a lot of people on here are missing, it should tick up nicely once the gold starts to flow. 🤞

Don’t think geopolitics would play too much of a part in GGP shareprice tbh. As we’ve seen tensions/financial wobbles have pushed the POG to ATHs, which should in theory benefit miners, and possibly explorers., which is what we are until we get the keys to Telfer.

Think it’s more likely uncertainty, shortens etc. They found a beaut with GGP with massive discovery that they knew couldn’t be got at for years, JV, takeover rumours etc, they’ve worked it to death, sadly. But SD has played a blinder, so that should, in theory at least translate to a much higher share as we develop both mines.

Even Zelensky said he thinks the war will end sooner than it would otherwise under a Trump administration…read into it that what you will. But I’d imagine both sides going for as much ground as they can before Jan, and the inevitable negotitations.

To underestimate Putin, Russia or China would be a grave mistake. Russia & China can think in 50-100 year terms, maybe longer. The West is in a perpetual 4-5 year election cycle…

Who owns all the gold? China & Russia. They bought all our off us when we sold it for c. $250 an ounce, plus they mine more.

Who is the world’s largest creditor? China.

Who building battle ships at 250% of US capacity? China.

If we are not careful, China will run the show before very long.

And in terms of Trump surrendering, weirdly I believe he is possibly the only man on earth that could sort this out, amounts other things. He is after all the only president of modern times where Russia have not invaded another country.

People say it’s bad that Trump can, or would want to talk to Putin, but surely it’s better to have him on hotline to possibly prevent an escalation that could lead to WW3.

I don’t believe Russia will use nukes as a retaliation for the use of ATACMS, with a range of 200km give or take. One of Putins cronies said the other day that the likely response would be to send out their version of the same class of missile to anyone who wants to attack a NATO country or its vessels or infrastructure.

Problem is, if the Russians get rid of Putin (and if it’s anyone it’ll be the Russians) who takes his place?

Putin, strangely, is thought of as a moderate in Russia.

Lots of people in Russia are calling for preemptive nuclear strikes, but Putin has resisted, so far, for obvious reasons…M.A.D!

So to think that Putin would be replaced with a West loving, or even leaning, successor, I think would be naive.
