i recently read just as a byproduct of the US Shale oil industry, 40% of the US NG gas is produced.
with the slump in the oil price due to russia/SA and the reduced global demand dropping significantly, the shale oil industry is not financially sustainable.
which should have a increasing effect of the price of NG which has been depressed for a long time now.

RPT and JKX should hopefully benefit.

a few of the major factors that have been negatively affected our SP in the very recent past

1) woodford fund going belly up
2) expanding our facilities in texas which reduced output capacity
3) failing the financial stress test in November which crashed the SP
4) Cyber attack
5) covid 19 and the general market downturn
6) Delay of a comprehensive financing package.

as of this moment we are looking positive for a refinancing package being put together within the coming months if not sooner, which with a prevailing wind should tie up with the additional clean rooms coming on stream.

if the above happens, at the very minimum the SP could/Should be rerated back to the 3p range?

any thoughts

should start to rise over the coming weeks, once the 10% merchants are out of the pic.
i am with the general consensus that it was a Positive RNS with all current factors considering.

another point to add, if we have finance sorted or close to sorted, the last RNS that caused the drop to all time lows gave ammunition to both parties i.e those who believed the finance was close to being sorted and those who saw us going out of business, the fear of some investors took over and the share price dropped significantly...

if finance is sorted(and still the big IF), then would 3p be a base book value for the company, obviously the current economic climate has changed from, 6 months back where we at 3p.

3 months back we were paying triple this price....

in the current market and RPT have plenty and will continue to make it despite the low price of NG.

salary cuts have already taken place at management levels, and they will soon trickle down to the workers.
cpi has many parts of it which are profitable it should be noted.
the sp tells you it is not the flavour of the month but it is not going bust any time soon.
