I will bet, if there are any takers, if the trials go as well as I hope they will-£22 a share.

Not sure cc would have a choice. If BP took the plunge ( risk) and offered £10 billion for the lot majority of shareholders , if not all, would say thank you very much!

Do you really think BP will wait 5 years if the tech is proven? That would cost them too much. If the tech is proven there will be an intense bidding war sooner rather than later. The impact of Precision, if it works how it is envisaged, will completely revolutionise Cancer survival. This fact is not lost on the industry.

Give a novice some perspective. If successful in trials is £10 a share on 500 million shares a realistic figure for a takeover?

I get the frustration. The waiting. But if the directors are prepared to sink half a million in to see us through to the end of the year what it says to me is that they perhaps received a derisory offer in the interim and have confidence in the results of the trials towards the end of the year. This says to BP. " we're not desperate. We are confident."

Way too early for a take over. But I would not be surprised if given the potential upsides the scramble for information before us mere mortals can access it is heating up. The stakes are huge but so are the risks. Hold Fast.

As much as we are excited at making a few quid it struck me if Avacta are as successful as we hope the proliferation of their technology may save the life of someone close to us, even our own in the future.

There seems to be a few large trades today. If we see that for the rest of the week that is a confidence something is happening.
