Green shoots ???
Wow this forum has stagnated almost as much as the SP ?! Can I wake you from your comas ( perfectly understandable by the way ) to ask for thoughts and opinions regarding the update today and if anyone has AGM news ??
"Dark shadows"?? Sounds rather dramatic , I find the posters on ADVFN to be as fair and clued up as those on here - as long as you choose the current / correct thread ? As for glassdoor reviews it's like any other review site it's usually only the people with an axe to grind that can be bothered summoning up the energy to post anything ? Having said that there are a couple of very positive reviews that have been put up recently that look as though they could have been submitted by a manager wanting to put a positive spin on things ? I read them all with a sack of salt at the ready because, in short , we just don't know, and probably never will , what REALLY goes on at Tungsten towers ! It will all come out in the wash one way or another and be reflected in the only review that really matters - the share price . What I do know is right now we appear to be going nowhere very slowly , we need to see some positive financials and EBITDA +ve announcements this year or this sucker is just never leaving the launch pad . With the patience and goodwill I have shown this prospect and the management a career as a monk surely awaits which is just as well because I will probably be in sackcloth and ashes thanks to Tungsten in any case ! IMO. etc
A great summary Chilt . I realise not much will nudge this share price higher to any great degree other than proof that Tungsten are making a decent profit should that ever happen ? Frustration is the word here, with a capital 'F'.
Tungsten Network partners with Orbian to expand the scope of its financing offering. Thoughts ???
You still knocking about pal ?? Any views on the update etc ?
I read a few newspaper articles via links on Twitter in all manner of subjects from international news to the local football team and have seen a lot of Ads for Tungsten as I scroll down the story / article lately, a distinctly higher profile than I have seen previously which can only be a good thing ! Thumbs up . Is anyone else seeing anecdotal evidence of an uplift in Tungstens marketing / presence ? ( I'm a little concerned the only reason I'm seeing these ads is because I do of course follow Tungsten on Twitter ?! )
In the US, research published on PYMNTS.com revealed that the value of funds tied up in unpaid SME invoices is $825 billions“ equivalent to 5 percent of the national GDP. Forgive me but I have had a bellyful of the above quoted facts about the size of the problem it harks back to the infamous " trillions billions millions " quote of dear old Edi we KNOW the size of the prize and it just makes all the more confusing and excruciating that we can't seem to take a chunk out of this behemoth of a market? Dear Tungsten BOD , if you want to really impress me maybe start lending out more than a relative tuppence ha'penny in comparison ? Then hey , who knows the SP may start moving up , the SMEs will love us and I may not have to partake in my bi monthly rant ??!! You may think I'm being unfair and I know progress is being made but It is SOOO infuriating!! It's like being told there is the biggest oilfield ever known to man just below our feet and we have so far shaped up like we are trying to get at it with a knife and fork ! ' Will sit down in a dark room now ....
It would seem to me that the market will not rerate our SP to the positive unless or until we have something substantial to back it up with , by which I mean a strong revenue stream and or breakeven . Reputations take years to build and seconds to destroy and with the shenanigans of the last 24 months it would appear the road to redemption is a long one ! Some 'old timers' ( perhaps 'lifers' would be more apt?) know me from what seems centuries ago now - I bought into this company around 2 years + ago and genuinely thought I was getting in on the ground floor, little did I know they hadn't built the elevator shaft ! It's been quite a ride down but things at least seem on a more secure footing now . I continue to believe the potential here is enormous but I also believe it will be a few years ( 3 - 5 ) before we really start to see things motor. I am prepared to be amazed however ! Pass a rope down someone ...... ;-)
Top man bs !! Can only hope this reflects well in the sp because heaven knows we have received an almighty beating in the past when the news hasn't been so great. So, now we have this albatross from our necks, let us have some realism - this company is valued around £80m market cap, there are small chains of convenience stores valued at much the same ! Granted it's down to the BOD to start making decent revenues from this proposition but 'More transactions than PayPal' surely deserves a lot more respect in the market ??
Good luck and safe travels to all attending the AGM tomorrow - may you only hear good news and see a presentation pleasing to the eye!
Bravo!! Can we start making some money now ..... PLEASE ????!
Agree with your sentiments (as usual!) Chilt . It was indeed a brief Q&A rather than interview but hey it's at least something from the air tight vacuum that Tungsten has become ?! I agree that maybe we should learn to crawl then walk before we start reaching for the running shoes ? Lets get TEP off the ground first that would be a neat trick if they started to look like they were going to deliver on the thing they have been trying to make work for the last 3 years?? Jaded ? I think us long termers are more bruised and battered ! Why does Prabhat refer to Insight in the past tense ?
.....on the 'Spendmatters' site, any comments would be welcome ??
I would like to throw this one open and get a little debate going on here as the company these days do not throw us many (any?!) RNS bones these days and as a distraction to the Brexit Storm gathering around us . It has been widely reported that Prabhat has come on board to get the TEP firing on all cylinders and the company had already made great strides in dismantling many of the barriers in the way of TEP sign up and useage . But what other changes , ideas , proposals , actions do my learned friends on here think Prabhat may come up with? What would YOU like to see ? What 'fixes' or innovations would see TEP performance improve in your opinion ??
I love these debates they are very informative and it is encouraging to hear the amount of expertise and intelligence of those on here, many thanks to all of you but am I oversimplifying things with regard to this particular debate by boiling it down to one simple comment ? "we process more transactions than PayPal" Mr E Truell. That's pretty much all I need to know about that side of things for now, there seems more than enough 'raw material' going into the process for this company to make plenty of profit from offering finance IF they get it right. Another quote if I may ? "The opportunity for investors isn't so much dependent on growing the network, which is already huge, as it is monetising what's there today imo." Manics from the AD bb yesterday. And that sums up very neatly where I am at too. Yes it is important the buyers keep getting signed up etc etc but right here right now that's not a worry I have, this investing opportunity for me will live or die by the uptake of TEP over the next few years.
Ditto K3 lots of positive things happening now . Good people make a good business and we now have some good people on board in some important positions , the rest will follow. We haven't quite lit the blue touch paper yet but it seems we may at last know where the matches are ?! $$$$££££
A peak behind the curtain tomorrow lots of shares changed hands today. Progress and positivity - let's have some !
You know what eggs ? I'm not going to get involved in the numbers thing, all I ask for is something we have not yet had at results time with Tungsten and that is merely a positive update (of whatever degree ) with no nasties or negatives that's all. I don't mind if it's a 'steady as she goes' type of report with the phrases 'figures are in line' or 'as expected' etc I'm not wanting to win any world records (just yet!) just the luxury of not crapping myself about what is going on and why promises aren't being fulfilled will do very nicely thankyou! I do feel that this thing could take off if the TEP genie is let out of its bottle but it may take a while longer for our new hire to find the 'magic words' if indeed he or anyone else ever does ? If Tungsten cannot and do not figure out a way to utilise the massive network it runs and monitise it especially with all the industry experts now properly occupying the positions they should then there are no excuse from here on in and I f this team cannot get invoice financing off the ground to any worthwhile scale you would have to wonder if it's possible at all? For now I am happy for the solid foundations to be going in - let's hope it turns out it's a launchpad we are erecting and not a bunker ! $$$$££££
