A share price decline is just a paper loss, and may never become real dependent on when or if shares are sold. A divi cut is a real loss and destroys investor confidence. Would not believe BT would feel spending any money saved in a divi cut would be better spent elsewhere.
New technologies do not appear out of nothing, they evolve. Knowledge of that evolution breeds greater understanding. Therefore being effective and efficient goes hand in hand with experience. I am not saying thrre was never dead wood in the company in the past, or that every one evolved and and accepted change, but it would be difficult to survive today if you didn,t. The qualifier for being effective and efficient is knowing what you're doing.
