Factom is blockchain-agnostic tech for securing documents of all kinds. This takes blockchain beyond the finance or currency role of cryptocurrencies, allowing documents such as land deeds, mortgages, and more to be protected.
Securing documents in the blockchain makes these systems inherently honest, and as Factom puts it ...honesty is good for business.
I see it simply as a big electronic staple that can NEVER be removed from any data.
For example think about the following numbers as data 12346789 you may notice that 5 is missing, you put 5 into the blockchain and the list now reads 123467895, with the 5 time-stamped and can never appear to have occurred after 4. Hopefully you can see how useful this would be to make companies, governments and organisations that are inherently dishonest, honest.
